- Breakfast was ok,
- The couple running the hotel were very friendly and helpful We unfortunately got stranded when our bike key broke in the lock... They run us around to see if we could get another key and allowed us to use the room all day until we got picked upVery grateful for their kindnessBreakfast was great as well
- We stayed at the Greyhound Hotel in Wales for 3 nights (April 17–20) and had an absolutely lovely time. Jane and her family were fantastic—welcoming, friendly, and just genuinely lovely people. You can tell they really care about the place and the people in it.The atmosphere was relaxed and easy-going, the kind of place where you end up having great chats with other guests over a drink or breakfast without even trying.Good people, good vibes, and a great getaway, would definitely come back. Thanks again to Jane, family and staff.
Cons -
- We wasn’t informed of the breakfast times which was annoying. Bacon was hard( understandable as we arrived at the end of breakfast. need to cater for vegan diners and lactose free, couldn’t enjoy a morning tea/coffee as no variation of milk, Tv too small & too far to watch in bedroom, The toilet wasn’t flushing so couldn’t use that facility ? staff were helpful with amenities
- Booked double got two singles, bed was tiny and very, very soft so killed my back
- Car park was difficult to find initially and was full (and very little parking outside)

Location, staff very good, food
Booked double got two singles, bed was tiny and very, very soft so killed my back
Breakfast superb as was the evening meal the night before. Staff were just lovely - made me feel so welcome. My only comment would be the parking which is a bit tight but we managed! All in all a gem of a place and I am looking forward to a return stay later in the year .... thank you, Greyhound Hotel!
Pleasant staff, clean, breakfast was ok. Nice bathroom. Quiet
Car park was difficult to find initially and was full (and very little parking outside)
Staff excellent bed too soft for us
No staff to welcome us on arrival
Good choice of breakfast.clean comfortable room. No sat night stag or hen night waking us all up at 2 am.
The Rain
The rooms were lovely and modern and well kept
There’s nothing I didn’t like
Good breakfast. Good value bar food and location.
Great food at breakfast but very disorganised! Saving grace are the proprietors. Rooms just fair. Bathroom window held closed by cardboard boxes!
A lot!
Clean bedroom breakfast was lovely
No sockets for tablets/phone
The Breakfast was good and was set in a beautiful location
When we entered the room and went to hang our jackets up in the wardrobe the rail fell down as it was not secure. The bed was not very comfortable and lumpy and the shower fell on my husbands head
The location was excellent for the showground, staff were very friendly and helpful. The evening meal was well cooked and presented, good breakfast. enough room in car park. Will certainly book again. Rooms were warm and comfortable and very clean.
I would have liked a bannister on both sides of the staircase.
The staff were friendly and very helpful, going above and beyond when helping dry wet motorcycle clothing! The breakfast was prepared to order, using good ingredients. The bar food in the evening was good too, with one or two dishes outstanding.
The owners are undertaking some renovations; however, there was nothing untoward that affected my stay adversely,.
Excellent food. Breakfast and Evening meals really good.
Room was fairly small, nowhere to put suitcases although it was comfortable.
Great location for touring mid wales, really friendly and welcoming staff - great food at reasonable cost
There wasn't anything i particularly disliked - it was warm cozy, and comfortable. But it's clearly a hotel in transition as the owners invest in improvements. So some of the furniture etc, may look a little worn - but the decor and quality is clearly being improved to a much higher standard - so perhaps a little bit if a "work in progress".... can't wait to get back and see how it's progressing!
The staff were very helpful, I left my glasses behind, and they very kindly posted them to me, thanks greyhound hotel.
The staff were friendly, and the evening meal and breakfast were good. We would stay again, but not in the same room, as there was a noise issue.
No one at reception when we arrived. We then found out that another guest had taken our room key (and entered our room) as they thought that the room key left at reception was their's (it all got a bit confused and messy for a while). Thankfully, a very helpful young man (the owners son, I think) sorted things out, but it wasn't a good start to our stay. Also, unfortunately, a bathroom extractor fan in the next room to ours could be heard in our room (ours wasn't working). Anyway, the thing was noisy and ran for about 30 minutes once activated with a constant whirring sound being heard through the wall. This woke me up at 10:30 pm (I was very tired). Again, the following morning, I was awoken at 5:45 by the same thing!! It all led to me not having a good night's sleep (my wife very wisely uses ear plugs).
Very friendly family run Hotel , My wife is dairy free and they were very accommodating, The evening meals and breakfasts were lovely, The room was nice and quiet.Would we stay again ? yes we would
That we were only staying 2 nights.
