- Friendly and polite staff. clean and good spacious seafront room breakfast was lovely stairs
- Lovely traditional hotel in a perfect location with friendly staff
Cons -
- There was nothing that we didn't like
- Lack of a 'continental breakfast' option.
- The breakfast time was very short, only 30 minutes. Also I would prefer the tea to be made fresh not stewed ,already made on the table.

Lovely traditional hotel in a perfect location with friendly staff
Good service by the staff. Excellent bed and sea view from the room.
Lack of a 'continental breakfast' option.
Excellent location overlooking the sea and beach. Warm comfortable room with a great shower. Friendly , helpful staff.Lovely breakfast too.

Great sea view massive double bed right next to the theatre
The sea view was absolutely fabulous, as it got a little darker it really was lovely. Also having free parking was a plus although our car was blocked in by other guests, we didn't end up needing it anyway.
The room was very basic and run down. The windows did not open and we were on the 3rd floor. This was a little scary as there was only the stairs as an exit incase of fire. Door handles and window frames looked quite dirty and the pull cord in the bathroom was black and brown, something that we used a towel to pull when we needed to use it. At the end of the day we used the room to sleep in which is alls we needed it for.
The room was warm cosy and had top floor which was nice the management was nice and polite.
When returning to the hotel after being told by management wot time breakfast was the bar staff were rude and abrupt argumentif my wife is diabetic we had no milk and sugar and refused point blank to provide any extra didn't care moaning also about paying for drinks on card when she wanted cash
This was the second time we've stayed at The Four Oaks Hotel. We love the Victorian style of the building, the lift, the staff and the breakfasts. We had a lovely big room with magnificent Sea views. Our stay was delightful.
It's necessary to park the car behind the Hotel and walk around to the front. Other Hotels along the front have pedestrian access from the car parking into the hotel which s far better in horizontal rain! Our room was blazing HOT! the radiator was set on High 6, we turned it off and the temperature was pleasant. Same problem with the corridors and dining room - everywhere incredibly HOT! I appreciate that many of their clients are elderly but those temperatures were basically unpleasant. Also, the milk for the teamaking facilities were those little tubes of watery milk where you need at least 3 to make a decent tea or coffee with milk. So more were needed.
Very helpful staff. Old style hotel but very clean
Nothing much tbh
Didn't have breakfast , location was okey
Bed was uncomfortable and pillows to big
Great location with lovery room. Great experience for us.
Small capacity of parking. You should ask hotel clerk where to park.
Perfect location, wonderful hosts and comfortable rooms. Lots of little extras you don't get from most b&bs .
The location
1st room, in desperate need of TLC. No bin in bathroom; 2 hangers for us both. No hot water in the shower, 2 rickety old dining chairs to sit on in our sea view room. Quilt cover too big for the Quilt. 2 pillow cases in 1 cover. Next room had the extraction fan running ALL nightNo hot shower and no sleep. 2nd room (replacement for the 1st bad room)Better room shame we didn't have this room from the start.Overall......no food available (breakfast or dinner)No bar (told to go next hotel down for drinks!!!)No staff to hand to speak to.Outside door locked most of the day so if 1 went out the other one was locked in!Basically it wasn't a good stay and most definitely won't be going back!!! Obviously caters for coach parties only, others just don't get considered
Excellent location. Wonderful sea view.
TV connection needed attention. Check room is serviced every day.
The staff were very helpful & friendly cannot fault them. The room was a good size & enough for a stay. The lights above the headboards were a hazard as you bang your head on it alot. The most disappointing part was there was no dining on the evening & no breakfast served on the morning. The bar also closed at 9pm
Its appearance from the outside
Our room was dated and drabThere was a major issue with extremely bad, loud creaking floorboards.Breakfast was served at 08:30 with no leeway.Although it was tasty, it wasn’t hot.On the Saturday evening the bar was closed at 9pm.
Comfortable,clean and quiet at night
Handy for theatre
No breakfast. Kitchen closed in formed when we got there .
Location excellent, very clean and the staff went above and beyond
