Pros +
- Location was good. It was very clean and comfortable. Beautiful staircase. Good views.
- Clean, traditional features, friendly welcome.Great sea views and very good breakfast.Have been several times before and keep coming back.
- Location / staff / Breakfast/ homely and historic
Cons -
- At top of a big hill and top floor.Usually no problem but with a bad knee was tricky
- Unfortunetly due to single pane glass and strong wing the room was cold. We had to move due to the room was cold and again despite room was beautiful it was still a bit cold.
- Breakfast was well cooked and was good food but not a great variety. It was basic and not much availability for any food intolerance. The waitress was also scared of dogs which is odd for a hotel who welcomes them.

Location and views are stunning! The hotel is charming because it’s dated which gives it character. The rooms are quirky and comfortable and provide everything you need. Loved it! It also accommodated my dogs but also welcomed them and looked after them where some hotels just tolerate them.

Staff were friendly and helpful food was fresh and tasty . Space in room was good.
Bed was uncomfortable didnt get much sleep . Pretty hard to park and difficult to turn around at top of hill .
I liked the position of the hotel. The reception staff didn't seem professional, although they were polite. The place is tired and old-fashioned but clean. The beds were comfy, the pillows hard. The bathroom facilities, i.e., shampoo, cups, soap, and toilet paper, were plentiful. The tea & coffee tray was well stocked. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty on offer. The price of the family room was fair.My only real disappointment was the radiator in the bathroom.it was rusted and absolutely clogged up with dust inside, which you could see through the top vent.
Lovely location...the staff couldn't have been more helpful ....the bed was super comfortable and the breakfast was superb....we loved our stay.
Nothing....but if you are looking for modern then Headlands is not for you....it's clean it's tidy and welcoming but it's old fashioned....for us that was perfect ...but I guess it won't be for everyone
Good breakfast wonderful room with lots of character throughout the hotel lovely staff especially the lady serving breakfast great veiws
Cold shower
Beautiful restored Victorian with an outstanding view. Located a short walk from the promenade
The shower was very difficult to adjust so it was either cold or scalding hot
Friendly staff, comfortable room, excellent breakfast
Characterful hotel overlooking the bay. Good breakfast in conservatory with great views
Hotel is a little bit tired and in need of some sprucing up. My room wes basic but no complaints at the price and with its sea view
Lovely charecter property stunning views
Nothing to dislike really parking was a bit tight
Excellent location, got the room with a view i expected, im old fashioned, loved the old atmosphere and decor. Breakfast was fantasic. Just enough to burn off on a walk. So close to happy valley, would recommend to anyone.
Its a victorian property, expect leaks, creaks and old fashioned furniture. Its not that i dislike it, it may not to be everybodys taste.
Excellent hotel for location an friendly staff always.Breakfast was lovely with plenty of choice.View's are amazing
Little small in the family room we were in.
Beautiful view! Very clean and tidy, very friendly and helpful staff, just 5 minutes walk into the middle of town.
Location, friendly helpful staff.Cosy rooms with great views . Nice looking building , great cooked breakfast with plenty of choice.
Expect some noise through walls, creaking floors and steps etc, which is expected with this type of building…shouldn’t be a problem if you’re lucky enough to have considerate neighbors during the stay.
Perfect location if you booked sea view for new years eve fireworks.
A wonderful unspoilt Victorian hotel, set up in the foothills of The Great Orne, where the Camera Obscura stands. Views across the North & West shores and Snowdonia in the distance are magnificent.
There is not a lift & this is a listed building so guests must be prepared to climb the beautiful staircase. Fortunately there is a fascinating array of artwork & historical photographs to take your mind off the climb!
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff, stunning views
Good hotel. Parking right outside. Up a big hill, suited us. Great views. Easy access to chair lift and great walks. Good breakfast. Helpful staff
