Pros +
- Location is great. Room size was good, and generally clean.
- Amazing view lovely big room very comfortable.
- Laid back hotel warm comfortable roomFood breakfast and evening dinner were excellent bingo and entertainment too
Cons -
- Confusion amongst the staff regarding advice given about evening meal. Waited almost 30mins to get served, only to be told we had to pay in advance at the reception (we were not told this by reception). The quality of the evening meal was atrocious - the worst food I've ever had a hotel. Breakfast was marginally better, but only just. If you are going to stay at the hotel, then eat elsewhere.
- Nothing all good
- Staff don’t respect the ‘Do not disturb’ signs outside your bedroom

Lovely hotel in a great location
Staff don’t respect the ‘Do not disturb’ signs outside your bedroom
Great location. And I do love staying here.
Staff don’t respect the ‘DoNot Disturb’ sign. They will still knock on your door and try to enter if no response.
Friendly staff, me and my husband set an alarm to wake us up for breakfast, after a few drinks out and about, an alarm went off early hours of the morning and hubby turned our alarm off thinking it was that, (it was the hotel alarm) we slept late and missed breakfast. It was a funny story and we told a staff member at reception, she kindly apologised and offered us a packed lunch, we were ok though and she said hang on a minute, and gave us a gift each which we really appreciated .
It's just breakfast it is really early, I wish it was until half nine, ten o'clock. I love breakfast and it's part of our stay to look forward to , just a tad early. It wouldn't stop us from staying again as we love everything!
Location. Ground floor decor was good
Some of the decor on the other floors was “tired”, e.g. skirting boards were worn and needed filling and painting. Some wallpaper was damaged and dated.
Amazing location on the seafront . Very friendly and welcoming lady on reception . Relaxed vibe . Warm & comfortable room .
Some cleaning required in corridors .
Lovely hotel with amazing views very clean and cosy Friendly staff Great location Friendly atmosphere
Breakfast could have been a little more for what you pay Partner would have liked cerial option but he couldn't seem to find any
Good breakfast, nice staff
Orange juice watered down not drinkable, good service
It’s bright and airy in the public areas. My room was very spacious with a wonderful view of the coastline. It was clean and comfortable. The towels were Snow White and fluffy. The staff were very cheerful and friendly. Location is perfect. The prices in the bar area were excellent.
Nothing really. Having lived locally previously, I visited the hotel for over 55 years. If you looked for faults you’d find them, as you would in any old building of that age.
Location is fab.
Room needs updating, dampness on some walls.Tv didn’t work, slow service during breakfast.
Location was good. It was comfortable, friendly, clean. Food was good value. We will return.
Hotel right on the seafront, great for long walks, coffee at numerous cafes, independent shops. Staff were all really friendly. Receptionist kindly changed my room from ground floor to 3rd as I was travelling alone & wanted to feel secure. Restaurant staff very pleasant & food very quick to arrive when ordered. Room clean.
Hotel seems to be geared around coach holidays.
Location
Clean, tidy and comfortable
Loved the staff , especially reception staff, the ladies were absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful and so accommodating. Entertainment was fantastic, food from the hotel restaurant was delicious and very affordable with good size portions. Our room was a twin due to last minute booking, the room was so big it was brilliant for us and very comfortable and clean. All in all I am so glad I booked the seabank Hotel we really enjoyed our stay and even extended a night. I would highly recommend staying here.
Not so much we didn’t like it.. the bedroom is desperately in need of a renovation so is the bathroom and hallways. As I said though it is very clean and welcoming.absolutely fabulous
Location, value for money, great staff, nice clean room
Breakfast was great, rooms were comfortable and it was a good location
Location, great. Bar staff, great and waitresses. Room, comfy double bed and nice bedding. Aim to please as I notice they had a lot of Northern people there on an Alfa Travelplex trip. Or maybe it's standard. The entertainment and 3 course dinber, Bingo and singer, I mean. I liked that. It's good to provide entertainment as a lot of hotels don't. 1st nt I paid £20.00 got the 3 course dinner. Not bad price.
Not a lot but I felt cold in my room and when I asked reception where the heating switch was she said it was controlled at reception. Not a good thing. The 3 course evening dinner was nice but not a lot of choice. Breakfast wasn't v good, ie, runny egg, soggy toast & fried bread and not presented v well on plate. Also noticed the lack of biscuits in room with the complementary tea & coffee tray. But maybe it's same in all british hotels these days with the cost of living crisis? Nice size tv in room with freeview and netflix channels. Nice comfy furniture and seating areas downstairs. Nice lager on draft with competitive prices would I stay again? ABSOLUTRLY. I needed a break and the Seabank Hotel, Porthcawl came up with the goods. Didn't much like the layout of dining room. Felt like a conference room. They used to have a dance hall there once. Putting on functions like Xmas parties & wedding receptions. Why did they get rid of it?
