    Pros +

    • Hotel employee at the front desk was welcoming and helpful. The room (named after one of the holes at the golf course) had a sophisticated modern style and was in great shape. We had an easy one-night stay.
    • Atmosphere was lovely, felt warm and cozy. The wallpaper was gorgeous and the library was excellent. Highly recommend staying at the Golflinks.
    • Great location.

    Cons -

    • Nothing. Parking was great
    • The room was quite small and there was no chair in it. If you wanted a tea or coffee you had to sit on the edge of the bed to drink it.
    • Bed linen had marks on quilt cover & pillowcases , pillowcases also looked like they had pale light brown stains ! I fail to see how house keeping didn’t pick this up !!! We didn’t say at reception as staff were lovely!

A superb stay; no issues. Sadly it was only for one night. Everything was compact but well supplied, very clean and impressive. The staff were excellent. As is our usual scenario we had booked a meal elsewhere, and were many miles away by breakfast time, but there was no noise during the night and no hassles. The bathroom light was a bit of trouble, it comes on automatically if you go in and shines through the glass door lighting up the whole room for what seems like ages, but removing the card from the electric switch helped. The shower was superb. I would have given our stay a ten but for the bar..... see below.

The bar. We arrived at 3pm, booked into our room and went to the bar, and were the only two people in it. There were a number of televisions showing sport and the noise was deafening. We literally couldn't hear each other. We moved tables twice and there were speakers everywhere, it really was painful on the ears so gave up and went to our room again. After our meal out we came back to the bar at 9pm, which was now showing football. Deafening noise, nothing but shouts and cheers from the other patrons, standing room only so we ended up at a table in the dining room. I know the sports brigade like to stand round the bar three deep and scream at the top of their voices if anyone ever even kicks a ball but for those of us who prefer quieter activities it's a bit off-putting, especially having to lean over and around these patrons when trying to order another drink. The hotel was new to us so we didn't know where else to go for a more relaxing experience.

Good locationNice bar and restaurantComfy bedNice bathroomEasy check inPlenty of parking

Quite noisy, you can hear a lot from the hall and other roomsRooms could do with some refreshing as paint was coming off wall and big damp spot on the ceiling

Excellent full Irish breakfast. Staff very attentive and service top class. Room warm and comfortable. I got a great night's sleep. I will recommend to family and friends and definitely stay again

A small chair in the bedroom would have helped. I acknowledge space at a premium

Great location, comfort and restaurant. Best meal I’ve had in Ireland so far.

Great location, beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean with wonderful staff and great food. Ryan in the restaurant was a blast! We will definitely be back.

    Clean, good location

It should have been made clear at booking that some of the rooms have no window. This would have affected which room we chose. The room was very stuffy with no ventilation and the air conditioning unit was very complicated to use. I felt very claustrophobic during the night and couldn’t wait to leave the next morning. It’s such a pity because we have stayed here before and enjoyed our stay then which is why we returned.

The hotel was lovely. Reception staff lovely. Infact all staff lovely. Lovely comfy bedroom. Nice touch the water and crisps. Great having coffee machine in room and radio. Great atmosphere in bar and the food in restaurant was beautiful. Even better the half price food offer was on during our stay. Bar area nice with live music.

The only things negative … the sink in bathroom would have been better as a vanity unit as nowhere to put toothbrush, toiletries etc and room didn’t have anything nice outlook.

Staff were all extremely helpful at reception. Daniel the night porter also. Warm and friendly atmosphere around the hotel.

We really enjoyed our two nights stay. The breakfast and dinners were lovely, and the staff went beyond to make sure I had gluten free food. When I asked what food was available everyone was very helpful and friendly.

When checking in we were told all food in restaurant half price ..football was on in bar after that then entertainment on in deerstalker bar@ 9.30 to late...Didn't have to leave hotel

Room wasn't the biggest but had all we needed which was more important

The location by the coast and the nice relaxing bar and restaurant facility.

The food standard has taken a significant hit, particularly when it comes to the steak. When the newly renovated restaurant first opened, the steak was exceptional; however, my recent experience was disappointing, as was a previous visit. While other meals ordered by my family were acceptable, the steak certainly does not meet expectations. Additionally, the pillow on our bed was unclean and visibly off-putting, and I prefer not to elaborate further. It was merely a decorative pillow, so I removed it and placed it on the floor. On a positive note, the rest of the room maintained a high level of cleanliness.

Love the decor of the hotel and smart tv in room. Lovely view and the bars were very nice in the hotel.

Would just prefer a double mattress rather than two single mattresses pushed together but not a big deal at all the bed was very comfy regardless!

The property was so clean. Large room with everything we needed. Extra friendly staff too.

It was slightly too far out of portrush.
