    Pros +

    • Good variety of excellent food offered at all meals. Staff attentive but not intrusive. Comfortably warm (January) accommodation. Beautiful views of the coast. Plenty to visit in the locality.
    • Breakfast was delicious and a great choice, perfect start to a day of work. Beautiful views. Rooms clean, spacious enough and with everything you need, including tea/coffee/hot chocolate. Lovely walk either across to the beach or down to the shops/restaurants, I only went down in the evening to find somewhere to eat. Many places were actually full due to there being a pantomime performance on that evening. Finally found the little gem Harbour Kitchen (I think that is correct) who managed to accommodate us. I'm sure the dinner at the hotel would have been lovely, but we didn't need four courses.
    • Great breakfast choices. Attentive staff and wonderful view.

    Cons -

    • Nothing to report.
    • Slightly too warm for sleeping, but there may have been a way of turning the heat down, I just didn't really look.
    • The room was cold when I arrived and didnt warm up very quickly.

The customer service was beyond excellent. The views from the lounge and dining room are fantastic.

My room said "garden view" but all I got was 2 tiled roofs. The shower was very compact, if I turned around, my nose was 2 inches away from the glass. (I'm 14 stone, so not huge)

Convenient for the local area and stunning views

Evening meal too expensive and wasn’t available to book until 18th January being closed for five weeks from before Christmas

Location, friendly helpful staff, many facilities at the hotel like mini golf, table tennis, etc. Good walks right outside. Train station nearby. Excellent food, breakfast and dinner, with good advice from waiting staff at dinner on what to have. Would definitely stay again.

Room was on the small side and could have done with more sockets, which no doubt will happen when next refurbished.

Breakfast excellent and evening meal good value for money. Enjoy the swimming pool and games room. Always something to do even if it rains! Excellent. Will definitely be back next year. Wonderful 3 night break

Games room could do with being updated a little

Location was excellent along with the facilities run by very pleasant staff in a clean and pleasant atmosphere. Easy walk into town and to the beach. Food was very good too.

Bed was a little uncomfortable ( too soft) leading to back ache in the morning.

Beautiful hotel, looking pristine everywhere. Wonderful location, perfect for dogs with beach walks and comfy dog lounge. Kids have swimming pool and games room. Such a shame that the food is so poor. We had one evening meal and then went elsewhere. Luckily we were B and B although the breakfast was lacking too.

See above. Need to upgrade standard of meals.

The location is superb. The hotel has lovely facilities and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere

As there was no one to great us at the dining room for breakfast we sat ourselves down. Tea and coffee was offered and brought to our table. My partner went in search of cups to no avail . Phil, a member of staff then decided it was appropriate to admonish us , in front of all the other guests, raising his voice in a room you have heard a pin drop, explaining that we had plonked, his word, ourselves down at a dining table, instead at our named table, this hadn't been explained to us, and that they would have to remake it. We were embarrassed, shamed and I was left very tearful. Our one night away this year was such a treat and felt ruined by his inappropriate, unprofessional and disrespectful attitude.

breakfast was lovely. great family feel to the hotel, lots of lounge space to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset! location was amazing.

the swimming pool was a bit dated, small and fairly cold. feel it could do with an upgrade to match the hotel's enviable location and general facilities. bedroom was a bit dated in decor, but was very comfortable.

Very nice very spacious, views were wonderful

The food let it down slightly, room was a bit dated

The location was great and was on our way to northern Wales so it worked well. the views from the hotel (generally, not our room) were fabulous and showed off the Cardigan bay/coast. The staff were fine and cordial, not their fault, but it is clear the place caters supremely to a different demographic.

The whole property is setup mainly for the aged, and it is very important for folks to know this before booking it. It might be fine be for my 84 year old Mother or folks with significant mobility challenges, but not for folks looking for a cosy stay on the Welsh coast. It felt like a hospital, from check in desk lighting and setup, through to the restaurant, the hallways and the room itself. I felt like I was spending the night at a hospital for the aged. Example, I was told I could not have a cup of tea after dinner in the restaurant? not allowed to serve hot drinks after dinner in the restaurant? but had to go to another room/lounge - cannot understand that, never experienced that in a restaurant.
