Pros +
- Everything
- We had an incredible weekend getaway at Penmaenuchaf hotel! The rooms were beautiful and comfortable, the food was absolutely amazing, and the staff were so friendly and attentive. It was a truly unforgettable stay — especially because my girlfriend and I got engaged during our visit! We’ll always cherish the memories we made here and can’t wait to come back soon.

Cons -
- Zero complaints.
- Might be good to have a slightly more casual evening dining option (currently only tasting menu or minimum 2-3 course a la carte if I’m not mistaken!)
- I would have preferred a room with AC because it was quite humid.

A thoroughly magical stay at Penmaenuchaf - dreamy grounds and gardens, stylish and beautifully appointed rooms and common areas, delicious breakfast, warm and welcoming staff… And the most adorable dogs :) Would rate this 11/10 if I could!

Garden beautiful room with views
Beautiful hotel. Like the deck and the little sunroom area with mirror so I could see to put on my makeup. Bed was good and it was a spacious room.

This was a beautiful property that we booked at the last minute. It exceeded any expectations we may have had. The bed was very comfortable as were the linens, etc..
There was nothing we did not like about the property
The views are beautiful, as is the property. The food is top notch and well worth the money. We absolutely loved our stay.
The price of drinks is ridiculous and the cocktails are tiny!! £15 for a small wine glass size cocktail. Totally put us off buying more after the first one.
We had the most wonderful stay and the hotel really lived up to and exceeded expectations with fantastic staff. Once you are there you can really appreciate the detail that has gone into the design, the Welsh inspired art, and the wonderful surrounds. The bar was a lovely relaxing space with delicious cocktails.
Had a very enjoyable stay at the hotel. Hotel and bedroom was very comfortable and stylish. Very clean and well maintained. Food (dinner and breakfast) was excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Grounds were very picturesque and a great view of the estuary. Would highly recommend a stay.
Dinner was amazing but a bit expensive. Would be nice to have some other options if do not want 3 course a la carte menu. Having said that I would highly recommend the restaurant for a 3 course meal and breakfast!
Great hotel, lovely setting and gardens and great food - good for a get away treat for a couple
Fantastic location , plenty of parking spaces, the room was massive and newly decorated. Stunning hotel in one of the best locations in Wales
It was a special place. Full of history in beautiful grounds. Short walk to the cycle trail so you could walk to Dolgellau. Which we did. Our room was so lovely with fantastic views of the valley. The bathroom was pure luxury and it was warm with loads of hot water. Just newly decorated it was very stylish and cosy. The staff couldn’t be anymore welcoming and kind. Tho when we left we had a stow away!! A little robin had gotten into the car as my husband had left the window open whilst packing up. We noticed him before we left the grounds so hopefully he wasn’t lost!! I think he’s quite a character there!!
Nothing. Even the weather was good!!
The Hotel is set in a beautiful area and the private gardens are lovely to walk around. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. The staff were very welcoming and attentive, breakfast and evening meal was exceptional with good choices. We had a fabulous couple of days. Thank you to all the staff.
Location, decor, food & friendliness of staff. Didn’t want to leave!
Loved everything!
Excellent service and very friendly staff. The breakfast was served quickly and was delicious.
The plugs in the bath and wash hand basin were difficult to use. Both would not retain the water in the bath or basin.
Very pleasant two night autumn stay. Staff were very professional & helpful . Chef & restaurant staff were top class, top marks for service, taste & presentation of food. Comfortable bed.
Annoying little issues e.g. constant flashing bright light from ceiling mounted fire alarm & noisy fridge in bedroom prevented a good nights sleep. Dressing gowns, 'one size doesn't fit all'! 3 pin plugs difficult to access for phone charging etc. Would have expected better considering the price per night
Beautiful location, wonderful house, really great food
Great location, large well equipped room and friendly staff
The staff were so friendly and loved the log fires. They were very dog friendly and left a lovely note and treats for them.
