Pros +
- Great location, great host . We had an evening meal which was really good and great value for money , breakfast also good with a great choice including fresh fruit , cereal and cooked breakfast.
- Very lovely little place, it’s great value for money. Gordon is a nice fella who runs it and makes you feel very welcome. Breakfast is great, good produce food. It’s very old the building so don’t be expecting something of your stay that’s it’s not gonna be. Booked here to do a hike which is literally 2 mins away from hotel couldn’t be any better suited, amazing location. Overall lovely little weekend away and would definitely stay again. Our room didn’t have a tv which is the only thing I’d say that does need addressing but wasn’t an issue for me and my mate but for others probably.
- A warm welcome from Gordon and Michelle from the moment you arrive, great hosts. The rooms are cozy with super comfy beds, didn't have the pleasure of sampling the restaurant but the breakfast was stunning with quality fresh produce ?. I WILL BE BACK
Cons -
- Everything was fine. A bit expensive but it's isolated from most place's so that fine.
- All good
- The room was comfortable but decor is dated - not a problem for me, but others might be disappointed.

Gordon the owner was a really friendly guy, & the evening meal & breakfast were the best we've had whilst walking the Cambrian way trail ?. The hotel has a lot of History and old charm . The room we had was really cosy with 2 comfortable chairs to sit on. The bed was very comfortable. Initially I couldn't get the radio to tune properly but once tuned in it was nice just chilling with radio on .No T.V but we new that before arriving & that's not a problem for us.Really good rest Thanks, From Mark and Cherryl .

Beautiful building in beautiful location. Comfortable room. Friendly manager. Tasty breakfast. All good.
All good
Fantastic dinner, and breakfast was very good too. A very traditional country hotel, loads of character. Mind your head!
The room was comfortable but decor is dated - not a problem for me, but others might be disappointed.
Perfect location for climbing Cadair Idris. Owner was very chatty, food was nice.
It’s a little dated, room was very warm, could use a few updates like new pillows
Clean room, well located, nice staff, great breakfast.
Nothing - all good!
Food excellent - breakfast and dinner. Location perfect for us, indeed the reason for the choice, because it lies just yards from the start of the wonderful Minffordd route up Cadair Idris. For walkers it's ideal.
Very historic building & well maintained. Set in magnificent valley in a quiet location.
Very nice b&b Gordon was a very nice host if you intend on visiting cadair Idris and want a great location this is an ideal place as the b&b was situated at the foot of cadair Idris food was nice aswell.
Cosy rooms, excellent food and gentle people.
Excellent location for the mach loop which is why we went. The owner was very nice, and knowledgeable.
Not really anything else to do if you don't like walking, it is out of the way, but we went for one reason and it was excellent
Excellent location if you aren't looking for other amenities as the nearest village is a few miles away. But we were on a cycling tour with no intention of going anywhere that evening. This would be a great place to stay for a few days hill walking too, right below Cader Idris. Spectacular countryside.Gordon keeps a nice range of interesting bottled beers and the chef did a great job for dinner - interesting menu, decent portions and very tasty. Breakfast was similar - plenty of choice and more than enough to get us off up the hill into the rain :)
Not all the rooms were in operation so one of our group had to stay in Corris, which was a pity.
Very clean. Friendly and welcoming host. Delicious food, excellent value for money. Lovely atmosphere. Owner very lovely
No TV or Wi-Fi. Shouldn’t matter really but my son is autistic and he struggled with this
Location perfect to climb Cadair Idris. Dinner and breakfast exceeded our expectations Good choice for the vegetarian in our party too
The hotel is set in a great location. It is nice and quiet and great for getting away from it all.The food choice for dinner was excellent and the food that I order was really good.Staff are very friendly and helpful.Breakfast was included in the price, excellent choices and good food.
I think the hotel was fine how it was.
The post code you gave was wrong so I did not reach this hotel. Struggled to find somewhere else to stay. I would appreciate a phone call from you. Chris Bunn
If I could have got there with your information. Spoiled the holiday.
Was visiting the Mach Loop, and it could not be better placed. Just over 2 miles from the parking for Cad West. The evening meal and breakfast can not be faulted, perhaps the portion was a wee bit too big. A quiet drink in the bar and a chat with the owner was great company for o lone traveller.
Room was a bit warm (but it was v warm that day, and thundery.)
Ideally located at the foot of Cader Idris. Exceptionally clean, friendly host, delicious breakfast
Everything was fine, nothing that I didn't like.
