Friendly staff, room very clean, food wonderful, location excellent
Lovely rooms. Clean and comfortable. Decent food too.
The noise from the pub across the street at closing time was very disturbing.
Comfortable bed. Kettle, milk, tea bags, biscuits etc.Very friendly staff and super meal with gluten free batter on fish in restaurant.
Luke warm shower and because room was at the front a lot of road noise. In cooler weather this wouldn't matter as windows would be shut.
breakfasts were good. you could either choose one of two fixed breakfasts or build your own. Rooms were comforatble and clean. The room we had was over the bar and you could generally just about hear voices. The property has a pub downstairs and is open for food for breakfast, lunch and dinner apart from Sunday when there is no cooking.
The room and the pub were very clean, staff was super friendly and helpful
The pillows were not comfortable. Food is really good but unfortunately not available on a Sunday
It was clean and comfortable
We had a family room yet there was a blaring disco beneath our room deafening untill 23:30. Good job we didn’t have kids with us. Had we known we wouldn’t have stayed, there was no warning of this. Ad said food served Wednesday to Sunday. But on arrival we were told no food on Sunday, no breakfast. Also the sink seemed blocked as didn’t drain away. Didn’t mention to the lady that worked there when we left as she was really nice and I guess not her fault.
The first day was wonderful, perfect location, clean room, nice staff and delicious food. On the second day it was like we were in a different place. We waited for food for over an hour and no one even apologised or told us how long to wait. It was very noisy, there was a party on the ground floor and we could hardly sleep. Went down for breakfast in the morning and there was no one but us in the hotel. After an hour of searching for staff, we decided to go elsewhere for food. The keys to the room also had no one to leave them with, so we had to hide them ourselves and write a message to the owner that we had left and where the keys were. All in all, it felt weird. Beautiful place, but the second day spoilt the whole experience.
The property was clean and cosy. The bathroom was beautiful.
It was quite noisy from the pub downstairs, could hear the balls hitting the floor from the pool table. But that’s what happens when you book a room above a pub
Very clean and well-mantained. The staff is very nice, it's a great location for visiting north Wales.
The room was lovely and clean, the food we had was delicious and the staff polite and helpful.
Very good bed, bathroom, service and food.
Friendly staff, beautiful place. Excellent breakfast
Bed was a little too hard for my liking (personal preference)
It was quiet despite being on the main road. It was clean. The shower was good. The bar meal was nice. I think the owners have done an excellent job. It was amazingly good value.
No parking. I parked very close to the hotel but I can imagine it might be necessary to park a 5 minute walk away in the public carpark up High Street
Despite organising a late check-in there was no one there and we were left stranded. Everywhere else around was fully booked and we had to spend a rough night in a freezing car after driving 8 hours.
Despite organising a late check-in there was no one there and we were left stranded. Everywhere else around was fully booked and we had to spend a rough night in a freezing car after driving 8 hours. Although I've been told I will get a refund this whole experience was extremely disappointing and I expected more from booking.com who I couldn't even get in contact with. Not sure I will be using them again
The place delivered all and more that could be expected from a budget hotel. The room was comfortable and warm and the staff helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was fine for the money. Dinner was excellent.
No on site parking seemed available though parking in the street opposite was no problem.
Clean, cozy, great service, delicious food in the Pub.Everything you need is in the room - kettle, coffee, tea, cookies, milk, shower gel, shampoo.Close to portmeirion park.
