Located in the West End of Dundee, the Shaftesbury Lodge Guest House is a 5-minute taxi journey from Dundee city center. Local restaurants can be reached after 5 minutes’ walk and free Wi-Fi is available throughout the public areas. This 19th-century guest accommodations has retained many original features and has high ceilings throughout. Pros +

  • Customer service and breakfast was great. Reasonably close to downtown.
  • The staff was warm and friendly. Breakfast was wonderful. It is an older / historic hotel, which has it's own charm. Just be prepared for that and you won't be disappointed.

Cons -

  • The listing says ¿free wifi in public spaces¿ but not so much¿ the public space is a dated sitting room and the breakfast room. In this era of cheap repeaters and mesh wifi, there¿s no excuse for any hotel to not have decent wifi in every guest room.
