The Oaklands Hotel is set in its own grounds on the outskirts of Norwich. Overlooking the beautiful Yare River Valley, Norwich Station and city center are 5 minutes’ drive away. This family-run hotel combines a relaxed country house style with modern facilities including free Wi-Fi. The elegant and individually designed bedrooms at the Oaklands all have private bathrooms with hairdryers. Rooms also feature TVs and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel’s restaurant serves mouth-watering British cuisine. The bar has a wide selection of drinks, a snack menu and an outdoor terrace for al fresco dining. Carrow Road, the home of Norwich FC is a 5-minute drive away. Broadland Business Park is close by and free parking is available at the hotel.

Please note that the property operates a bar and event rooms, which play music. The property is careful not to disturb guests and aims to turn music off by midnight. Please note that there are no elevator facilities in the hotel. All rooms are accessible via stairs onto the first and second floors. The luxury suites have ground floor access. Please note the annex rooms are located at the bottom of the hotel drive.

- Breakfast was good. Staff friendly. Restaurant food and service good.
- The bed was comfy and very big definitely worth having a double bed
Cons -
- On my second day I slipped and fell on the outside wooden decking area and fractured my wrist. Had to go to the Norwich A&E and now have a cast on my right arm. it'll take at least 6 to 8 weeks to get better. When i reported it to the reception the person on duty said it has never happened before but the next day the lady on duty said that she has slipped before . i was disappointed that no one followed it up except filling an accident form! I am aware that it is a wedding venue and where i fell was just outside the marquee. the hotel needs to do regular cleaning of that wooden decking area to avoid accidents like mine.
