Pros +
- Very nice hotel so close to downtown!
- Central location, the beds and the bathroom
- The staff was excellent. The hotel location was excellent.
Cons -
- The actual hotel is under construction at the moment, totally surrounded by scaffolding. At the same time the streets around are under construction as well. This made it very hard to find using GPS.Guest rooms are currently in the building adjacent to the hotel. It would have been nice if there had been a heads up about this before we travelled there.
- No real air conditioning Loud people walking by outside in the night 1-2 am, waking you up.
- When we arrived, we were informed that the entire hotel was closed because of renovations so we were put in an adjoining hotel. I cannot rate the room in the hotel because we never saw it, but the room in the adjoining hotel was very nice.

The location of the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the train station in Örebro Central. This is the primary reason we book this hotel. Perfect location!Very positive surprise - we got a HUGE room - 2 double beds and an L-shape sofa - overlooking the Castle (Slottet)!Another plus is the breakfast. It has everything we want - hot coffee, bread, bacon, yoghurt, fresh fruits, juice, etc. etc.Oh, and of course, most important - friendly staff as I explain below.
Hmmm, very minor...there was very little shower gel which the hotel staff addressed right away and fixed.
We were all very happy with our rooms and beds (we had 4 rooms total) and the breakfast buffet was super good.
There was some chocolate on the carpet in one of our rooms from a previous guest. Everything else was very clean and tidy.
Amazing choice at Breakfast.
Room faced the main road, which was very riotous on Friday night until 2 am.
- Very friendly staff in the reception.- I like the facilities a lot, it is old and beautiful.- The room was excellent - with a small walk-in closet, floor heating in the bathroom, comfortable bed, large bed table, desk, good lighting, clean, and everything worked as it should.- Great breakfast with everything you can possibly wish for.- Perfect location.
- It was noisy outdoors Friday night (loud music and shouting) and it woke me up at 1 a.m. I am glad I had brought a pair of earplugs!
Very good
I had a conversation with the receptionist, and after I finished, I noticed his colleague laughing. It made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
Smellt bad in the corridors, slot of stains on chairs and carpet in the room suite nr 10 soffa was very disgusting didn’t even wanna sit in it, there was no menu in the room telephone wasn’t working. No information available about restaurant number to reception etc.
It was a nice view.
Very good breakfast with a lot of choice, with everything very fresh and rapidly refilled when something ran out. The room was quiet and the bed very comfortable. The location is unbeatable in Örebro.
The superior double room we booked was really small for a double and didn't feel like great value for the money we paid. Also the bathroom was very small and narrow, it would benefit from adding a shelf or some hangers.
Breakfast and location. Staff were very helpful and friendly
The staff is very friendly and The place is nice and affordable price. And very comfortable place to stay.
The room is nice but the floor is not clean, the cleaner should vacuum the floor, the toalett is smell not fresh and dusty.
The hotel is good, near to the centrum and tourist attractions. The staff is nice as well. Highly recommended.
Really nice and welcoming staff. Clean room.
The breakfast didn’t live up to our expectations. Very few dairy free and gluten free options.
The staff was nice and helped rebooking to another room when we realised that the room we booked had no windows.
That the first room had no windows - which I would not expect from a hotel entitled an “Elite” hotel. In the next room, the Windows could not be opened. That does not feel safe.
Comfortable and clean.Lovely view of the castle at the breakfast buffet.
Food was OK, but bland. Long walk from buffet to table and no trays - had to walk several times. Tables not cleaned quick enough. Breakfast room interior is really sad.
The room - a so-called deluxe suite - was dirty and moldy - see pictures. A really unpleasant stay - do not recommend. The receptionist was not trained in taking criticism on behalf of the establishment - she just "shut down".Amazing that you can call a hotel chain ELITE and be so bad.
Centrally located. Clean. Good breakfast with ample choice of food
No airconditioning in the room. Regrettably, the much appreciated Italian in-house restaurant Paolo's closed at 18.00 hrs during my stay.
very good location and spacious room
Bathroom could have been a bit better
The hotel has 2 buildings, the main building is originally a hotel. The 2nd (where our room was) is a former bank building nextdoor. It has odd characteristics like a bank vault door in front of the spa and extra fortified doors, we had a windowless room, after 3 nights with about 3 hours of no sun due to it being summer in Scandinavia its a welcome change to have absolute darkness
Not the best breakfast. I expect a bit more from european 4star hotels
