Hotell Hjalmar

Room was clean and big. Bed was comfy and big. Location was good. Courtyard parking felt safe. Downstairs was very nice and romantic Italian place.

Curtain rail was loose from ceiling and curtains were held up by open window. Therefor we were unable to close the window. Room was very cold, portable heater provided by hotel didnt help. Bathroom was extremely cold. Breakfast could be better, some of the stuff looked like it was from previous morning. Oher then that it was ok for the price. If the rooms would have been warm for that money the place would have been solid 7.

When we arrived, the elevator was malfunctioning so we had to carry our luggage four flights. When we came back from being in town, the elevator was fixed.The breakfast was nice.

I couldn't stay longer because I'm looking for student discounts. Yet, if there's any promotions (price discounts), I will look forward to come back soon.

Breakfast, location, cleanliness.

Shower was a bit broken. When arriving late, the outdoor should say that you need to go to Hotel Örebro. Now I only saw it inside at the closed-reception's door after another visitor had let me in. The wifi info could be also in the rooms.

The room was not aesthetically pleasing! There was no mat in the room or anything that made it feel cozy. The room was also very cold, discovered late that they had placed a heater in the room which I had to connect myself for warmth. For some reason they had disconnected the fridge. I also don’t like that they have their reception across the road in another facility. This is something that they can mention in the booking app. Breakfast options could be improved and maybe not serve burnt bacon!

No shoehorn in the room. A little bit hot in the room, took me a while to figure out that i could change the termostate.Windows was childproof, but could be opened. A strange weak smell in the room.At checkin i was told that they could get a breakfast bag for me, since i was checking out early, bit that was NOT arranged.Thankfully they opened the breakfast earlier then said, so I got a few minutes to make a couple of sandwiches, but that was done in a hurry....

Comfortable, large, well appointed room. Great cocktail bar downstairs. Really good Italian restaurant on site. Good breakfast

Staff at front desk were not very interested/ efficient

The night clerk went above and beyond to help us find parking after we arrived very late at night.

The building is nice and the location is excellent.

The room I got was probably recently renovated but whoever did the renovation didn’t do a really good job. One of the outlets was for example blowing the fuse whenever it was used. The curtains were full of bugs and the window was so dirty I almost didn’t see out of it. And as a cherry on top there was a gigantic bird ? outside of the window. When I notified the staff about the issues they tried to fix it, which included a phone call with the supervisor while I was right there in the room, waiting to get back to my work. One would kinda expect they would put me into a different room where the outlets worked and the windows were see through but they just told me to not touch the plug.

The staircase of the hotel is very beautiful.Comfy double bed.

To have to go to another hotel for breakfast.The breakfast could have had more greens and sprouts and all in all more vegan friendly options.

Misplaced shower wall gave lots of water on bathroom floor, unable to hang up shower on wall, holder for toiletpaper loose. No working air conditioning. Breakfast served in another hotel. Reception only manned part time. Expensive.

Spacious and big (queen accessible) room, comfort beds, good breakfast, nice view from the room toward old town streets/square.

Too easy to trigger the emergency alarm in the queen accessible room, but at least we know it works :)

First off - the hotel, I believe, is owned by another hotel, and Hjalmar seems to be the black sheep. When you arrive, you will need to cross the street to check in, where some sassy lass will give you a key, almost no questions asked. I picked this place cause it had parking, to which I was told "priority is given to *partner hotel name* guests, you'll have to find parking on the street", I asked (in english, as I am a simple foreigner who doesnt have the capacity to learn the language of the country I'm visiting for 10 days,) "is there anywhere thats better to park, free parking, etc?", to which I was told "check the signs". I guess its a valid response, although again, I dont speak the language, and I guess its probably unreasonable of me to expect an employee and potentially a resident of the town to know where is better to park than elsewhere. Anyway, cross the street again, go up to my room. Its fine, no AC, but a little desk fan you can use. No fridge, but its cold enough outside that you can just leave things on the windowsill and itll keep cool overnight. The room had a bed, and a bathroom. For the price... maybe spring a little more and stay somewhere else. Its already pretty expensive, thats true, but to be fair, theres not a lot in Orebro to see, so do you really need to stay there?
