The place was beautiful, amazing views and good food.

The check in process was too long and annoying, it took a whole hour to check in.

The activities are around dancing and partying... nothing else.The drinks are only until 6pm. After there are no more. Only rum and coke or low class beer.

Facilities, cleanliness and food

1) check-in took 1.5 hrs. There were only 4 people trying to cope with tens of guests and taking a lot of time in each case.2) no AC in common areas. In some places the marine breeze would help, yet in others, like the pool room, it gets pretty suffocating.3) not enough umbrellas in Portete island.

The installation are a little old and outdated my shower faucet was not working correctly, they definitely need renovation or at least a fresh paint job .definitely a 3 star four pushing it.

All in all it was a great experience! The location is great and the staff fantastic and very helpful. We will definitely be back! A great spot with clean beaches!

I wish decameron offers better wines, the quality of the every day free wine is poor. It will be great to have the option to buy better wines for those of us who want a quality wine and also other liquors by the bottle . There are lovely ecuadorian wines available in the country.This will be a good upgrade for the resort , that will certainly appeal to the international market.The menu should be more varied too. My major issue was the fish restaurant "The Acantilado" , it was very disappointing. Awful menu.That region of Ecuador offers great seafood so why can El Acantilado offer decent food and a bit more gourmet. E.G. Pargo frito is lovely local dish and was not available.

The food is amazing.The staff is friendly and helpful.Rooms are clean, beautiful and safe.Overall a very pleasant stay at this resort. Very recommended if you plan to travel with kids. There's a cinema at the resort for a lazy afternoon with your little ones. Also, there are three swimming pools safe for kids to swim as they have lifeguards monitoring. There's a bar at the lobby and a bar next to the pools to order alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. A snack bar is available close to the pool, and at the Beach Club. They have themed restaurants. Sadly only the International was available for us when we went. We really wanted to try the Italian... Maybe another time.

It took 2 hours to check in due to the hotel's covid protocol. Once unpacked, we had only few minutes in the swimming pool because it closes at 6pm for maintenance. I think the pool opening time should be extended as it takes so long to check in. As a suggestion, at the Beach Club (Club de Playa) more control should be placed for sellers and stray dogs. It's not nice to keep an eye on your food in case a stray comes to snatch it, or being harassed by sellers. As a local, I'm accustomed to seeing this, but for foreigners and tourists it may not be a nice experience. Overall the resort is awesome, my views here are what I experienced hoping to improve the service.
