Pros +
- The location of the hotel is perfect. Great flexibility to us, offering 2 rooms, not far from each other, as we needed. The breakfast was rich and quality food, good fit for a family. The bathrrom was very functional and convenient, in both rooms. The restaurant downstairs is certainly a plus, including the view to the Rursee. The parking space including charger for electric bikes is a nice plus.
- Location is beautiful. I also liked the restaurant, both for dinner and for breakfast. Restaurant staff was nice.
- Nice rooms, good food. Verf friendly staff in the restaurant.
Cons -
- The constructions on the road in front of the hotel, at the time we visited, was a small nuisance. Fortunately, the hotel did inform us upfront, including the avoiding route to access the hotel. There could be more and larger shared areas, for the guest to gather together or spend some time. The single existing TV room is small and quickly overcrowded.
- They do not have a sauna, even though they advertise with it on Booking. Bed could have been more comfortable. And my room was next to an elevator, which was a bit noisy. It was not too bad during the night luckily. The price was fair though.
- The staff at the checkout was unfriendly. We wanted them to store a cabin size luggage for a few hours and we got a very unfriendly no. Apparently there is no place in the whole hotel for a cabin size luggage .

Basic but comfortable rooms. Bed was comfortable, room and bathroom was clean. Location is excellent.
Too expensive for what it is. Breakfast was for 17.50 each and definitely not worth the price. No kettle or tea coffee making facilities in the room.
The location is very good, quiet and picturesque. The hotel has obviously had some refurbishment and has been well done. Everything is comfortable and clean. I didn't eat there but most of the guests seem to. The breakfast was good and the whole operation was efficient.
Of course the new bits show up the bits that had the attention. The pool is good but the changing rooms perhaps should be next on the list. Having travelled there from Spain and France the hospitality doesn't quite match up. It's not bad, everyone is polite but there does seem to be more that could be done to make you feel welcome. The single room I was in though well decorated, was quite small.
The room was modern and clean, hotel location was good, the staff were nice, especially the girl named Mariam! She gave lots of info about the area and about activities that I could do and in general was super friendly and helpful! Will definitely stay again
Nice location right next to the lake
We arrived around 22 50 and there was noone at reception. We messaged the hotel before to ask if they could leave us a key and they never replied. For a hotel of this size (not small airbnb or apartment) you would assume they would organize to either leave us key or have someone at reception. There were no hotel around so we ended sleeping in the car. In the morning when we picked up key they did not even apologize
Spacious room with a comfy bed, balcony and view over the lake. Great dinner and breakfast.
Very minor comment - decor is a bit dated.
Good view of the area and lake. The vintage style older rooms are legendary and in an amazing good state (and German style very clean), half of the rooms of the hotel are now rebuild and look very good, other half is planned to be restyled which is good but we will miss the older rooms/bathrooms
Nothing relevant
Well situated, public boat travel, beautiful lake
Rooms should be refurbished
Breakast very good location excellant.
No air con
Staff is very nice, nice view from the roomTraditional house
the furnitures are a bit outdated.Balcony is connected to other rooms so impossible to sleep with balcony door open .
Excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice location overlooking the lake
Hotel looks very 'tired' (brownish colors, old furniture, etc); elevator is so small it only fits one person properly.
Lovely surroundings. Beautiful area. Friendly staff. Clean (but old) room with great view. Lots of activities in nature to do in the area.
The kitchen took quite a while for dinner. We waited more than 45 minutes for a Schnitzel.
locationroom sizegood food
not enough staff (slow check-in, room not done, long waiting time at the restaurant). Despite goodwill, there simply wasn’t enough staff to care about the guests.
Very good breakfast!
We arrived late and the kitchen closed at 18h, which is very early for hikers. We had nothing to eat and ended up eating crisps from a kiosk.
great location, nice pool, great breakfast, friendly waitress at breakfast.
room smelled of smoke, the bed was too hard. The receptionist wasn’t that friendly. I couldn’t work the sauna.
It's location
It is old, might be late 80's beginning 90's for interior and such. The meals I had were oke....but not really great. Staff was underhand, as it is nowadays in this business.
Location, free parking space
Not so good cleaning, no mini fridge or etc ln room
Great location on Rursee, easy access and parking. Conveniently close to the lake, nature, ship, restaurants.Ok inside swimming pool, good breakfast.Dog friendly. Friendly staff.
The hotel is old fashioned and there seems to be a lack of staff, particularly at the reception. Cleanliness is ok, we had to wait 1 day for a repair to our sink. Shower is on the same water line as the toilet, so if you flush while showering the shower gets really hot! Pillows are worthless. No AC available, it was very hot during our stay but yeah it s a good summer. Price is very jacked up in the holiday season.
