Hotel Roeb

The room was ok. standard but clean with enough space and a balcony. Nice big bathroom.Breakfast very good: choice of bio food, fruit and several type of bread.

There is not enough designated parking spots for all the visitors, because of that people also occupy spots with EV chargers.Very thin cushions, so sleeping was uncomfortable. Also light sleepers out there should be aware of a church nearby, that rings the bells both late in the evening and early in the morning.

The hotel looked very nice. The atmosphere was very cozy. Good breakfast. And a nice lift.

There were alot of bugs especially wasps. There was no kettle.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, clean rooms and nice dinner + breakfast. Bathroom seemed recently renovated, beds were great.

Honestly my only pet peeve would be the pillows; soft to the point of non-existence, though this is more of a personal preference than a real detriment. After I folded them a bit it was fine.

Well situated for exploring the Eifel Forest area, this hotel is in the small town of Schmidt. We received a warm welcome and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere at this family run place. Our room was spacious, clean and warm, with a small balcony and the quietness of the area made for a peaceful night's sleep. The hotel has a restaurant, which is not always open to the general public, but, on those evenings, a limited menu is offered to hotel residents early in the evening, so you don't need to venture out again after a busy day if you don't want to. We enjoyed a lovely dinner here, featuring local pork and appreciated the 'welcome' label on our dining table. Some parking is available at the rear of the hotel. Buffet breakfast was good too.

Schmidt is a smallish place, so the location may not suit all travellers.

Lovely hotel, with everything of the highest quality. Lovely people, great restaurant, and really convenient for walking in the Eifel national park, we went on a two hour country walk directly from the hotel. Our room was a very good size, very comfortable and, like the rest of the hotel, spotlessly clean. The hotel is also easy to get to, being convenient to the motorway system. Can't recommend the Hotel Roeb highly enough.

We liked everything about the Hotel Roeb and would have liked to stay longer.

It’s sits in the town of Schmidt which is very pleasant and quiet. The staff were pleasant , friendly and helpful. The availability of an evening meal was a pleasant surprise and was very good. The breakfast served in the morning was also good with a great selection to choose from. The bedroom was spacious with a comfortable bed, a small balcony and a lovely walk in shower.

Parking was a bit limited on site but there was an adjacent area with extra.

Cleanliness of the room, dinner was served even though we arrived late, friendly evening staff, tasty breakfast. We liked the table reservation and welcoming sign with our family name on it.

The "wellness area" was advertised as such yet wasn't available at late evening; when requested to be ready in the morning the new receptionist almost forgot the request; did not know to turn on the heating beforehand, hence the room itself was code and dark and half of the area was not available; the massage chair was not working, the showers were out of service, the jaccuzzi could not be heated more than available. When we turned to the morning receptionist, she denied it being an official wellness area but an unofficial "bonus" for guests; did not know how to manage the technical details of the area, claimed the room could not be heated due to central heating. Overall gave an impression of being rather incompetent. The shower in the room was clean yet the door was leaking. The bed had two matresses instead of one, which kept moving apart.

The room was very spacious and clean, excellent bathroom facilities. Great secure parking and great location with east access to beautiful scenery.

The property advertised a well-being area including a hot tub, I booked the property based on this information due to an hectic day. This wasn’t the case, there is no functioning, clean hot tub and no well-being. I wished I’d booked somewhere else as I was at loose end for three hours sat in my room. I was very disappointed

The staff went out of their way to help especially Marina at reception who took the time to suggest nearby places to visit. The little slate name plates on my restaurant table and welcome messages (plus a drink) in my room were a great touch. Furnishings were excellent and the room large and well arranged, with a balcony. Great, free parking at the back.

We had a large room, which was great. The staff is friendly, we asked for vegan and glutenfree at breakfast, which was foreseen, this was great.

We booked a king size bed, but got 2 seperate beds put together, this was a pityThe food at the restaurant was a disapointment, all dishes with a lot of french fries and meat and hardly any cooked vegetables (other than some salad)But we discovered some good places to eat in neigbouring villages

We received a free room-upgrade and all staff were very friendly and helpful. There is also the opportunity to reserve the spa area for yourself for about 1.5 hours, which is very great.

There are many pictures online that show that the hotel has a pool. So there was the expectation that they still have a pool but they don't. It is a whirlpool now but not an actual pool for swimming. Would be great if this was stated somewhere on the hotel website.

Very nice hotel, the room was perfect, very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive, including the owners, that come around and care about our satisfaction several times. Restaurant food is very tasty, totally recommended. We will come again for sure! Many thanks for everything.

Pillows were a little bit soft for us.
