Hotel Arhuaco Rodadero

I have mixed feelings about our stay.Yes, it was new years week and the whole area was chaotic. We arrived early and asked if it was available, the female at desk said it would be at 3pm. They held our bags and we walked around killing time. It was 2ish when we returned to be told we had to wait til 3pm. I stepped aside and waited. Finally, they took us to this dungeon room, sounded like it was adjacent to the kitchen, sounds of dishes being moved. I asked to talk to a supervisor, waiting til she came was inconvenient since we just wanted to settle in. We were given a slightly better room in which we stayed the night. It had no closet or hooks and the shower had no door nor curtain, which it was late that evening when we showered to notice this. It would get the entire floor wet, along with the toilet. So again, I spoke to the supervisor and finally got an acceptable room. It was musical rooms for 2 days. They were accommodating but we lost alot of time with repacking and moving.

Everything!!! This property is horrendous. Bldg is in bad shape . I booked this property for hot water and TV and internet which none of the 3 were provided on the 1st day !! When I inquired about lack of basic services, I was told I didn’t pay for them !!! I was told to pay a higher price and I would get all 3 ( why I did this I still don’t understand) so I paid for another night . Only to find out they could not provide hot water because the whole hotel has none !! They are serving breakfast and doing laundry with NO hot water !! This is a nasty hotel !! Not only did they LIE to me and asked for more money but they seem to have no conscience!!! I would recommend staying far away from this hotel and the lies that the staff so easily tell .

Very clean, really good atmosphere , the breakfast its also good, not to mention the staff super friendly very helpful always there to answer any questions or help you out with whatever you might need.

We enojoyed our short stay in Santa Marta Rodadero hotel. Room was spatious with two showers and many beds. AC and hot water were really appreciated as well as good breakfast.

This hotel is appalling . Please avoid. How it get the rating from booking that is has is shocking. The staff are rude. The breakfast disgusting. The rooms are poor with AC not working and the showers dribble water. The manager is a rude arrogant prick. There is major construction going on next door which ruins any hope of relaxing by the pool. I don’t normally complain I really don’t but please avoid this place like the plague Booking.com you should be ashamed of yourself. Your customers deserve better

Nothing. Its horrendous

Nice location, one block away from the beach. The beds were comfortable although on the small side, and the bathroom clean and spacious. The breakfast was alright, limited in choice but with some daily variation. The kind of things one expects from a decent 2-star hotel in Europe.

Check-in at peak arrival time was an absolute mess. We had to wait over 40 minutes to get the keys to our room. Things did not end there. We had booked a room with view over the internal pool. What we got was a room 318, which has no view but a wall right in front of it (see the photo). When we went back to the reception, showing our booking confirmation, we were told they distinguish only between internal and external views, gave us what we asked for and could not offer us any other room.

The location was fantastic - very close to the beach and the main roads.

My room was next to the street it was extremely noisy. I asked if I could change to a higher floor I was told no. The wifi was horrible kept going in and out, the lines were dingy, the towels were rough.....thus place is a dump....the staff are friendly though.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Although the hotel is located in a noisy street, rooms were quiet enough for a restful sleep. Pool is nice too.

Breakfast was not great. They need to find a way to eliminate the flies.

Bed was a bit too hard, a softening topper would probably make it a much better bed.Breakfast doesn’t really live up to what I have so far enjoyed in other places in Columbia.

Great location, which was accessible to shopping, restaurants and the beach. Loved the pool. Enjoyed the Casino.

During this visit, there were too many issues regarding cleanliness upon arriving in our room. ie: stained sheet; stained underneath the toilet, and i wasnt sure if it was urine; a greasy fingerprint stain on the remote control; the pool needs to have a handle bar near the shallow entrance. It's very dangerous, as you have nothing to hold on to when stepping down into the water. I previously suggested this, but it was obviously not considered an important issue. The food selection for breakfast was not the tastiest or the greatest. Not too much variety either.

The AC and the staff were the best thing about the hotel. Rodri and Diana(especially Rodri) we’re the best staff and made me feel very at ease for a first time solo traveller.

The view from my room was not the best and the lack of security in the reception as anyone can access the hotel.

The hotel is located near from "el rodadero" beach, it has a lot of restaurants around. Besides, the hotel personnel are very committed with you, and the breakfast had different options.

The hotel is very well located in the centre of Santa Marta's busiest area. All of the staff were very accommodating and great to deal with.

Pool was under maintenance and we were told we could use another place's pool but every day we asked for we got a different excuse. It's almost impossible to sleep in rooms facing the street due to the noise. This is all-night long during weekend nights.

I used to like this place 20 years ago being there 4x

Breakfast was awful the eggs were nasty mix with corn not real eggs but eggbeaters, instead in being buffet style they had a server only serve the minimum.the bedroom was clean but the bed hard like a rock no longer have a fridge full of goodies I'm never coming back here like I said this hotel used to be one of the best in El rodadero only good memories from the past.
