Rixwell Old Riga Palace Hotel is located in a quiet street in Riga’s Old Town, within walking distance from all the main attractions. Rooms have individual climate control and satellite TV. Some open out on to private balconies, but all include private bathrooms with toiletries and a hairdryer. Ironing and tea/coffee making facilities are available in every room. Superior rooms feature a balcony. There is free WiFi access throughout the hotel. The cozy and elegant lobby-bar features a summer terrace, while the on-site restaurant serves European and Latvian cuisine with a choice of vegetarian dishes. A daily buffet breakfast with a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. The reception desk is open 24 hours a day. Riga’s Central Station is 10 minutes' walking distance from the hotel, as are the Monument of Freedom and Laima Clocks. - Good location, quite good breakfast, not biggest menu but everything tasty.
- Central location, no noise from the nearby road. Clean room and friendly employees.

Cons -
- Room was family room on 6th floor, feeling like attic, with very low ceilings, easy to hit head if you are taller. Quite outdated.
- Breakfast area in the basement with limited sunlight, no view outside, very uncomfortable. Room size 16m nearly not enough for two people traveling with two big suitcases. The corner shower with round door is pretty small Unrelated to the hotel (no influence on my rating): the closest parking lot is not 15/24h, it is now 30/24h. I can confirm the negative comments on Google Maps for this parking lot. After one night we parked our car one km away on a clean parking lot that costs 6/24h (june 2025), here's the adress : 12, Latgales priekpilsta, Rga, LV-1050
