The Gertrude Hotel self check-in is a family-friendly, boutique hotel located in a 19th century Art Nouveau style building. This 4-star hotel is a 15-minute walk from the St. Gertrude Church, the Vermane Central Park, the Latvian National Opera, and the Old Town. It offers air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi. Our hotel operates on a convenient self-service basis with self-check-in facilities, ensuring a seamless and independent experience for our guests. However, our dedicated staff is always on hand to assist you whenever needed. Housekeeping is available for stays for 3 or more nights and should be requested via a message. The spacious rooms of the Gertrude Hotel self check-in feature a classic interior décor, with dark wooden elements. Each has a work desk and private bathroom with a bath or shower, body soap and a hairdryer. All rooms are soundproofed and feature cable TV, safety deposit box, tea and coffee making facilities and ironing facilities. Breakfast is available in the mornings (must be requested no later than one day before). There are vending machines at the lobby. - I liked the big room, it was clean, the host was very reliable. I also loved the fact that it had an iron.
- I liked the comfy bed, clean and quiet room and good modern bathroom. Getting in and getting my room key was nice and easy. Decent location for exploring Riga but also for the train station. I liked having a fridge in my room too. The lobby/bar area was also a lovely space to spend a little time in.
Cons -
- I liked pretty everything for the price.
- The air-con didn't work (though I didn't need it and I didn't ask for it to be fixed either), and the carpet in my room had lots of old stains on it. The wardrobe rattled a lot as I walked past, so had to strategically place tissues to fix it.
