Pros +
- Staff were helpful but not all of them knew english that well. Even so, they tried their best to support us. The onsen you go to to take a bath is great, and they always give you fresh towels. They also have small bathing kimono for 2 year olds. :) And the washing machine was great. The restaurant had nice food, although a bit on the expensive side.
- The location is great, near the station, near the center and the lifter. The access to the onsen is also great. The breakfast is really good.
- This is a budget hotel, and you should take this in to account when planning your trip. However, the value for money of this place was excellent. They allowed us an early check-in free of charge due to the terrible weather outside, and provided everything we needed to make our stay in Amanohashidate a great one. We loved the place! The staff were friendly, and the location so close to the train station really couldn't be better. Access to the onsen next door was a great bonus.
Cons -
- The room was extremely small. :D
- It’s important to know that the onsen and the breakfast is not in the same building, it’s in the hotel right beside the hotel. But in clear day like I had it was not a problem. I think in winter or rainy days it might be an issue.
- Nothing really.

It was an absolutely wonderful place to stay in Amanohashidate! The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. There is a restaurant onsite that I would recommend making dinner reservations for as many of the local restaurants will be closed for the evening (don't make the same mistake I made). The room and place were kept very clean. They provided a yukata and essentials for visiting the public baths available in the next door hotel. A well stocked and healthy breakfast was also available from the next door hotel. If you want everything within one building, this is not the place for you, but I very much enjoyed the fresh air after my bathing and breakfasts!!
The room was on the smaller side, but for a couple of nights, this was fine.
I really liked the accomodation proximity to facilities, onsen, walking and bike tracks. Good access to food and beverages.
Good location, clean room, nice staff
Comfortable beds, clean
Only one shower at the ground floor, but across the road you can use the onsen of the next door hotel for free.
You can use the onsen of the nearby hotel for free. The bed was extremely comfortable. The size of the room was perfect and all the basic stuff was provided.
No sleepware provided. The doors are so noisy you can hear them smashing at night when people go to the bathroom.
It is very near to the station. Room was spacious and had a nice view of the bay.
There is only 1 small shower room on the ground floor (and the hot water function didn’t really work well). Onsen is at the next door hotel - it is not far but at night it can be a little troublesome to walk there if you are lazy (like me)…
Even though the single room was with shared toilet, there was a sink in the room, which was convenient for brushing teeth and washing the face. The shared toilets were clean. For people too shy to use the public bath at the hotel next door, there is a shower room at the first floor next to the washing machines.
The onsen in the neighbouring hotel was nice.
This hotel urgently needs a renovation. Really old rooms with loud refrigerators and AC. Additionally, the AC did not work very well. Rather a hostel than a hotel. Way to expensive for what you receive.
Staff were friendly. Location fantastic. Dinner and breakfast package were fantastic
The location is fantastic The room was spotlessly clean. Shared facilities/toilet was spotless. The price was reasonable.
The booking stated shared facilities on each floor. It didn't highlight that the actual bathroom facilities for the room where next door in the large hotel in the onsen. There was a toilet on each floor.
Breakfast is from 7:00 till 9:00 at neighboor hotel. For its price it was good, but please don't expect it would be like nice resort hotel. THe absence of toilet in room turned in nightmare when people in the night were clutching their doors to get a floor toilet facilities...
Place is wonderful , just in the heart of Amanohashi...
Location - it is very near to the train station, less than 5 min walk across the street. It is also very close to the entrance of the south side to the Amanohashidate land strip, and the cruise port.
Not many convenience stores around.
The hotel scores on its proximity to the train station and affiliation to the Amanohashidate hotel which means access to the wonderful onsen there. The bus stop to Ine no Funaya is just right outside the station which makes it really convenient.
Room is small, as with most hotels in Japan
The location is perfect because it's just a minute walk from the station. And it's literally just a few minutes away from other attractions. It's also quiet and clean. Their sister hotel which sits literally next to it has a huge public bath that guests of Auberge can use for free, that's nice!
The internet works fine aside from the times where it runs slow and gets disconnected.
I like that all locations are near and also the Hotel Onsen it amazing!!! too bad it haven't experienced it in the morning. They also has a bicycle rent in the hotel which is cheaper.
Amazing location. Near to amanohashidate station and its very near to all the key areas to visit.
I wish there was a bathroom for the single bed room.
The room was cozy and had all the things we needed even though it's a shared bathroom type. The hotel was close to all the transportation options like the train, bus, and bike rentals. Love the fact that we can access the public bath in the hotel next door too.
