Pros +
- Hotel employee the man he should be mayor of Krakow. So helpful, smiling and accommodating!! You won't get much more central than this hotel  30 seconds from the main square.
- The location is great, right next to the Rynek Glowny. Convenient remote access in case of the late check in. Clean room with everything needed. There is a fridge on the floor and a shared kitchen on the first floor to make some tea/coffee or to warm up some food. 24h Carrefour is right the next door of needed.
- The room was in a perfect location with proximity to the Town Square. Check-in was very easy, and I was able to get the keys from the lock box as soon as I arrived at the property late night. There are many restaurants around the property, and even though the property is located in a main area in the city, it was quiet enough for me to get a good night sleep. The room I stayed and had two beds, which is perfect for a family. There was no elevator for the upper floors, but I knew that before I had booked the property. There is a communal kitchen for us to use, which had coffee and tea supplies as well as a fridge to store our food in.
Cons -
- Hot water is a little bit on the stingy side -- you have to be quick with your shower.
- It was quite noisy at night and early in the morning
- It is a historic building, but well-maintained, so please note this before booking the property. It has an old charm, but we could hear other people in other rooms, so it was not very soundproofed.

Location was fantastic. Right in Old Town. You pay for what you get. If you don't need 5 star, but you want great location, Golden Lion is a good choice. Easy to find. Keys in a lock box also easy to access.
If they put you in room 6, hopefully you're a sound sleeper. You're right next to the check-in area but worse, you're next to their phone and computer. A phone rang constantly up until midnight. When I inquired, they couldn't turn it off. It wasn't clear if it was a phone or if it was people making reservations at all hours. But it was annoying. The room overall is very tired. No updates. Bathroom had holes in the tiles with yellow and black caution tape covering them. No air flow. The room was very stuff. You could open a window but it was to ongoing construction.
Self check-out, clear instructions. Close to the center and to the railway station (10-15 minutes of walking). Minimarket right across the road.
Poor soundproofing quality of the windows. If you travel for one night and want to sleep before the road - forget about that. Extremely loud during the night time and the "modern windows" don't help at all. Strongly do not recomend.
The gentleman on the reception gave us good advice. The location is perfect if you want to be in a central spot. The room was very comfortable. It is not that bad, but you should know the place is old, but it was very well decorated and maintained.Only if you want to be somewhere quiet, select a room that doesn't face the central road on Fridays, Saturdays or holidays, because too many people are passing through. But, maybe you are into that noise...
The bed is old and inferior quality. Caused back pain. The twin beds are connected to convert into king size bed, but the gap in between is annoying. Could not sleep well.
Location. Price.
Hot water in bathroom was not hot enough even to consider it warm water.
Staff was nice and really helpful. It is situated in Old Town so the room was big with high ceiling. Comfortable. We were there on Saturday night so expect some level of noise while you sleep in the heart of Krakow.
One of the cheapest stays in central krakow - but you’ll soon know why. To be honest if you’re into experiencing krakow, are young and want to get the most out of the nightlife this is your place. It’s a cheap hostel quality (but private rooms give you privacy) with very uncomfortable beds and pretty much that is all you get plus a shower with a great water pressure. Make sure you take your earplugs with you if you wanna go to bed early though as you’re right on the main square around all the bars and restaurant and busy streets so expect people to be out and about and heard in your room until early morning. Cheap and cheerful. If you’re prepared or don’t mind and just want a place to crash. Oh, and the staff are keen to help and friendly too. The kitchen is nice. You have all facilities there.
The only positive feature for this apartment is the location, other than that everything is extremely bad.
To start with, I don’t understand how this location was even accepted by Booking. 1. So noisy. Outside and inside 2. The bed is not comfortable at all. Pillows are so so uncomfortable and I can’t imagine how a facility doesn’t supply good pillows or even a suitable bed cover. The bed cover was so short for the bed. 3. We are Almost hitting year 2025, and still no good internet is provided!!! The wifi was extremely terrible. No signal at all.4. how come a toilet has no adequate simple requirements like a cup to place ur brush and toothpaste … no shower gel. Do they expect people to bring their own shower gel, and shampoo? Every facility k booked in since many years, supply these in the bathroom. In my opinion, they need to work so hard on enhancing this facility. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at all.
Location was good. The shared kitchen was in good condition and good to use with pots and utensils provided. Shower had good pressure.
Bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, stains were on the sink. Beds were not comfortable. Really expected more, especially how the pictures showed this more as a luxury experience. Disappointed in the end, neighbours were loud, reception wasn't manned at all throughout our whole stay
Location was great & cheap
Run down, extremely noisy at nights & very difficult to sleep. Didn’t see a receptionist at all the entire time we were there so i sent them a message to ask for some help and no one replied. Disappointed
Perfect location, clean and warm rooms, common kitchen area and of course very helpful host.
Great location + the staff are nice and speak great English. Self-checkin service which was nice. There is also a room for tea/coffee at no charge.
No TV in the room at all. It felt like a dormitory rather a guest house. The beds were arranged very oddly + weren't that comfy. The wifi was a bit sketchy too.I didn't like the fact that the money for the room wasn't automatically taken from my card which meant having to awkwardly transfer money to a bank account. (The booking.com option to "pay now" was not functioning)
Great location, right in the busy center, but it was quiet enough to not bother at night. Bed was ok, room was clean and warm.
Weak water pressure in my room, too weak to take a shower. If you are more lucky than me with water pressure bring your own shampoo.
Location 2 mins from the square. Mini market opposite and cafe and food places on same street including subway, McDonald's and burger king. Also a fab pierogi place a few doors up. The hotel has character and Konrad and the staff are very tentative and having use of the kitchen and free drinks was helpful. As a solo traveller it is a great place to go. Planning on returning next year.
It is a little dated, but it's an excellent price if you want to be in the action. I could hear a DJ in one of the garden/underground bars at night, you dont get to be in the action and it be totally quiet. Some things in the bathroom have broken over the years but I imagine can't be replaced and a refurb would push up the price so all in all....you get what you pay for. Konrad and the team make up for those things lacking with the cleanliness and helpful nature with tips of the local area.
Location is perfect for Old Town main square
Located on a side street. Directly above 2 kebab shops which in turn seemed to be a meeting place for locals. Drinking, partying, shouting and football chants into the early hours - which would explain why Krakow is almost eerily quiet during daylight hours - because the locals come alive at night time. The room itself advertised as Superior, was the most basic room I have ever seen, without it being in a hostel. Bed looked like it had been placed in the middle of the room and just left there. Very low. But not too uncomfortable. Bathroom very dated. Not 100% clean but was hygienic. Broken shelves and paint and wood obviously affected by damp and wet conditions - peeling and flaking. No other facilities in the room. Kitchen was more of a dining room with what looked like all kitchen facilities, but didn't use them. Not a "superior" room as I would have described. Functional would be a better description. Thankfully we had tours/trips booked for the duration of our two days so only used the room to sleep and wash. Definitely did not want to spend any time relaxing in it - which would not have been easy anyway. Did not see any staff at all, despite being there during "reception open hours". Instruction sent over message were extremely clear and easy to follow. Great communication, but also would have been nice to have felt that there was some "human support" available if needed. Luckily we didn't encounter any problems, so did not have to find out what service would have been like .
Clean and friendly . It feels like home . What I like the most is very accessible. From old town , restaurant and groceries. Very recommended.
Warm water is not working in shower room at first but it’s little bit ok in our last night and day . Not that bad .
Clean room, comfortable furniture, clean bathroom
