Pros +
- Loved the fact that they have a nice coffee maker and breakfast available. All of the staff we came into contact with were very friendly and helpful. They arranged our taxi ride to the airport and even made us a little breakfast plate and allowed us to make some coffee before our super early flight. The hotel is nicely kept up and everything was clean. The nearby cafe Praska has good food too.
- The staff is nice. Zakrzówek is very close.
- Bright and very clean rooms with green views and fresh air through the windows, comfortable beds, very good breakfast, extremely kind and helpful stuff, very good location, nice children playing and sporting place on another side of small street.
Cons -
- The location isn’t the best, it’s a bit far from old town. Also, the walls are paper thin and it’s easy to hear your neighbors. Finally, there aren’t many food places super close so your options are a bit limited. It takes about 20-30 minutes to get to downtown/Wawel castle from the hotel.
- Room was bare, facilities very average. Housekeeping don’t make the bed (or change the sheets apparently). I used a cup that they provided at the start of my stay and it was not changed, it was left like that.
- A little bit old interior, sometimes need reparations, but everything is fixed quickly, forgivable for the value

We have stayed at the Petrus Hotel on 5/6 occasions since 2011 or 2012, prior to Covid. This was the first time since then. The choice and quality of the food was ever bit as good.
The chairs previously were draped with white covers matching the table cloths, which also had a small flower vase in the center. Now, most of the chairs have the white covers but 8 chairs at 2 tables were grey plastic of different design, beginning to show signs of wear. The tables are brown wood efffect which would not be out of place in a ‚greasy spoon cafe’
Very comfortable beds. Though there was a private parking lot (20zl for a day), found space to park the car for free, good breakfast, not so far from the centre, about 30-40 min to walk.
The water in the shower was kind a weak, also weird noise from the ventilation system when light on in the bathroom, the tv remote didn't work.
Cheap, clean, breakfast was nice. All in all for that price its a bargain
Staff were friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. It is a very good distance from th3 centre and with taxis being so affordable, commuting was not an issue at all.
The hotel needs a touch up. There was a gust of wind through the closed windows that do not seal properly. The bathroom has rusted details like very very old radiators that are plugged in to work. The paint is chipping off and you can see the rust where the paint has been peeled off. The back of the hotel where some rooms look to, are cluttered and untidy.
Very clean, tidy, hygienic bedroom and toilet. Staff is efficient, polite, friendly, and hardworking. They speak good English. There's also a laundry service, which is very cheap and quick - just hand clothes at reception, fill in details of what to wash, pay, and by evening your clothes are washed. The inclusive breakfast is amazing, the scrambled eggs are creamy and delicious. Great selection of breads, hams, cheese, yoghurt, cereal, tea. The bedroom has loads of lamps with soothing ambient light, which I like when preparing for bed. The bedroom was very warm (in December /January), I never felt cold in the hotel. I personally would highly recommend this hotel to friends and family, even if they weren't on a budget.
It's not close to the city centre for a tourist - 45 mins walk or 30 mins with the tram, but this explains why it's so affordable. Taxis are very cheap so there's ways around this. The pillows are square shaped and slightly uncomfortable. The heating in my toilet did not work, but that might be done deliberately by the hotel - I never asked if anything could be done about this, and anyways I didn't feel cold, I just wanted to dry a few things on the radiator, so it wasn't an issue.
Good breakfast
The price-to-quality ratio was very poor. The room was cold, and we had to use a heater to warm it up. There was no electric kettle provided in the room, which I found inconvenient. The internet connection was practically unusable. The beds were uncomfortable, and you could feel the springs poking through the mattress. Additionally, the bathroom was in a worn-out state, with a scratched toilet seat and a shower that didn’t drain properly. Overall, these issues significantly impacted our stay.
Good location and good breakfast Shower didn’t work properly. It was cold at night So I suggest cozy blanket .
The room was not the same as in the picture. The room was old and it was cold in the room, they didn't turn on the heating even though they knew we were coming. There was no internet in the room, I complained to the reception, she couldn't help at all, I asked for my money back in order to change the accommodation, but the lady didn't know how to return the money to the card, she tried 3 times, but it didn't work. Even during breakfast, the room was cold, the radiators were cold, obviously they save a lot in the hotel, and it was not comfortable in the hotel at all.
Nothning.
everything and apecial thanks to the lady at the reception for the coffee after checkout and keeping my luggage
The staff were very welcoming!
The hotel was rather dated and basic however this is reflected in the price and did not affect my stay. The hotel is a bit out of the city centre however very cheap Ubers to where I needed to be.
Friendly staff
Access - No elevator. We had to lug heavy cases up 3 flights of stairs. Being in top floor with sloping roof - had to be careful not to hit head.
Great and spacious room. Excellent breakkie.very friendly staff
Parking is limited to 4 cars but you can park close by for max 8 euro a day
There is a fan
Sleeping on the bed is uncomfortable. 2 different beds for a couple and not sleeping together. Springs protrude from the bed. There was no air conditioner, no kettle for hot water.
A very cute and cozy hotel, great breakfast and plenty of space for parking. The staff was very helpful, they all spoke great English.
It is a bit far away from the city, other than that, nothing
calm location, good breakfast, good staff
The lady at the reception was very nice and helpful
The room was very small. There were two single beds put together, not a double bed (as requested), no fridge, no A/C, the hotel restaurant was very overpriced, very poor breakfast, parking charge for the hotel guests,
Personnel was very very kind and helpful
Pictures of the lake and swimming pools confused us, as we expected it to be a part of the hotel infrastructure but it’s quite far from the hotel and public
