The Hotel Polonia is located just about 5 minutes walk from the Galeria mall and the new Krakow Glowny that is now built inside the mall. It is also on the edge of, if not actually in, the Stare Miasto. The breakfast was a wonderful spread of fresh and tasty food. There was something to suit every taste.
The bathroom was adequate given that the hotel dates back many decades. The shower stall leaked water onto the floor drain; not sure why that is happening. The windows were old and probably should be replaced to help hold heat in. We kept the black out curtains closed to help.
My room was very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for quick access to the Old Town centre and the main railway station. Breakfast is delicious! Such a choice!

loved the history and old elegance of this hotel it was from another era but with amazing modern bathroom and great bed
For several nights previous I had stayed around the corner at another turn of the century hotel and the Polonia had been better updated over time. The WiFi was also much faster which is why I left the other hotel. Staff were primarily very friendly but there were a few sour faces. Room was large and comfortable. I liked the water provided and having an electric kettle with coffee and tea available. The windows opened so I could get fresh air. Bed was comfortable.
I asked for a quiet room and got one on the 3rd floor over-looking all the trams and buses, late night street cleaners, people yelling at the bus stop and sirens in the night. Tradeoff was that it was a lovely view of the park. No refrigerator which I would have liked but they did keep the ice pack for my knee in the freezer when I asked. TV was so tiny for the size of the room and don't think any English speaking TV stations and no instructions in English on how to operate it.
