Hotel Veba

We had a very spacious room, and we booked on purpose a room with balcony which was quite a bit more expensive than one without a balcony. The amenities are a bit old but all in good condition. Our room had lots of windows which was nice. We could use the swimming pool for free which was a great plus.

The hotel is right next to the main road so it was a bit loud when cars were passing by, especially when sitting on the balcony, but there was not too much traffic at night.The reception is on a different building (at the spa/pool), it is written on a board but it could be much clearer, so it took us a while until we figured this out. Other guests that arrived later were also looking where to check in. The staff could be friendlier.Breakfast was varied with different options, but don't except any quality ingredients.

I had great experience with this hotel. Small, cozy, green area with good breakfast. The wellness facility is very clean, super. The reception staff is amazing and helpful.

It is not certain that you can use the wellness if you stay there even the price includes 1 hour of swimming and jacuzzi. Reservation is necessary, only accept limited reservation.

The area is really nice and also very good location. The breakfast was with multiple choices. I have to say we had issue since booking was made for 3 rooms and only 2 were, but they did really make efforts to upgrade us. So it is positive overall & the personal was nice. On top, easy to park as more than space enough.

Booking mistake as mentioned above, but solved - maybe I would really suggest to emphasize the need of booking in advance the wellness due to the capacity.

The idea of rooms in the gardens is nice. Sufficient parking at the object and close to the center of Broumov. The klášter is in walking distance and Adrspach a 20 minutes drive. To set expectations rooms are very basic, more motel style.

The wellness is used as a selling point but last possibility to enter is 18:30 and closes at 19:30.Space for breakfast is too limited and noisy. The owners and staff could better stay with their core business being home-textil.

We had a comfortable one-night stay in the outer building at Hotel Veba and found the staff to be helpful.

It's true what people have said: The rules on accessing the wellness area/pool are unreasonable. It's listed as open 15:00 - 20:00 but the last possible time to enter is 18:30. Don't even bother trying to ask about accessing it at 18:00, like we did—call ahead, instead. That was a big disappointment. Photo attached of some of the current fine print to prepare you. (What people have said about the outdated showers flooding the bathroom floor is also true—but local hotel pickings are slim.)In Broumov, many shops and activities close around 16:00. It's a great area for hiking but plan/shop/research ahead if you want something to do after sunset.

the restaurant ended the offer of hot meals rather early in the evening, but this may be due to the beginning of the season, the trout was however excellent

They have written, that restaurant is open till 21:00 Mon - Thu and 22:00 from Fri - Sat. We came there around 19:50 and it was already closed. If not my wife, who found and asked staff who were leaving the restaurant backdoors, we would end up without dinner.Props to staff as they were very friendly and willing to go back and cook anything for us. It was not their fault. They've been said, they can go home if there are no people at 20:00.In my opinion owners should reconcider it as it doesn't make any sense. As customer I don't really care that there were no people before me. Kitchen is open till 20:30 (you can order till 20:00), but what if I decided at 21:00 Fri or Sat that I want to have some wine or beer (no food)? You have written hours, you have to be there no matter what. At least one person should be there, to give you drink after 20:30 till closing hours.

Location is perfect. Big nice garden. Very friendly staff. Clean hotel

Restaurant could have been open longer than 20.00.

Super location in beautiful garden, close to downtown with huge monastery. Dozen of unique baroque churches within the same valley. Friendly staff at the reception, excellent swimming pool (stainless steel construction and clean water). Parking and tennis court are both well placed.

Breakfast could be better in terms of fresh fruits and vegetables offer. More healthy products like cornflakes, muesli, etc. would be appreciated

Tennis court was closed and there was no information earlier that it will be available later on. restaurant is mediocre and expensive as compared to the restaurants in the city. I was served a bad beer. pool is available only for 1 hour per guest. there was a lot of smog on the date of our arrival.

Breakfest on weekdays ends at 9, too early in my opinion.

Nice and smiling local staff.Restaurant with the nice garden view.Unfortunatelly the wellness zone was not yet opened,however discount was proposed.

If breakfast is announced at 7,it should be ready.Was not the case.
