    Pros +

    • Location and onsenfacilities with games and activities for family
    • The hotel provides dinner and breakfast buffet with large variety of local food. The hot spring bath is clean and provides many amenities. They also have a small shop for last minute souvenirs shopping.
    • Clean, good rooms, strong wifi. Decent onsen.

    Cons -

    • buffet breakfast and dinner a bit bland and same every day,
    • It’s not really a problem, but just for those traveling without cars, this place is a little difficult to access.
    • The food was disappointing but given the price of the package maybe it should have been expected

Overpriced, couldn’t explain much in English, coffee was bad

The staff. List of allergens provided for dinner and breakfast buffet available at front desk.

My single room had glazed widows so I could not see anything outside. The window was stuck and did not open. This caused a feeling of confinement. The dinner buffet was delicious and varied but it was a scrum due to the number of guests.

The food was excellent with a wide range of Japanese and western dishes. All the staff made us feel welcome despite our lack of Japanese language

There was a small problem with a barking dog in a nearby room.

Friendly staff and good location from ski resort and other sightseeing activities.

The outdoor onsen is amazing! The buffet was amazingly good and delicious with a lot of variety. The rooms are amazingly spacious

The air conditioner kept making a lot of noise all night even though we turned it on. It woke me up several times at night.

The food was average, the 5250 yen I paid for dinner is not worthy, the onsen smells chlorine, it’s not overflowing onsen 源泉掛け流し

    Every thing

The buffet was great, the onsen also, very friendly staff. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back. The hotel is near a big Buddha statue with a nice park. To the lake you can walk in 30 minutes or take the bus. To the trainstation they offer a free shuttle service.

The onsen, traditional Japanese thermal baths, were amazing and there were two different ones as well. Also, the food provided for breakfast and dinner was amazing. There was a great variety of dishes coming from different cuisines, apart from a lot of traditional Japanese dishes. The hotel was in a very naturalistic location, with mountains and green spaces all around it.

The room had some minor damages. Also, given the overall cost, I expected the staff to speak English a little bit better than they did.

Family friendly onsen hotel with delicious food.

    8JutharatPosted on: 6-29-2024

All the best except for our room is near the dog friendly zone. Unluckily, there are the baking dogs in two rooms near our room. The staffs are nice. They were willing to change us to the new room far from that zone as soon as they could. The food is the best. The staffs are the best. The view, the atmosphere and the clear sky at night are the best. Worth to stay here.

The dog zone. Except for if the guests can control their dogs, that won’t cause any problems.

The dinner and breakfast buffets were really great, the staff attentive and very friendly. The surrounding mountains are impressive and the onsen bath with a relatively big outdoor part is great.

The resort is a little bit off the public transit accessibility but offers a free shuttle service to the next train station. The immediate surroundings of the resorts are a bit concrete heavy with loads of parking lots.

Excellent location, just right at the entrance of Lake Tazawa - the starting point of the lake road. It has its own car park with ample parking spaces. The staff who served us were very good. The public outdoor onsen was very good. Both the buffet breakfast and buffet dinner were of good quality, with a good balance of Japanese and western food. Our room was in the main building, looked a little old but clean in general.

Our room was not small but as it had bulky furniture and a pet corner, the actual usable area was reduced. It could be improved if the pet corner were cleared for those guests who had no pets with them.

Good location and variety of good food and delicious Breakfast and Dinner.

    8MeaiPosted on: 4-10-2024

Hotel is big & the Onsen’s water is so soft & makes your skin super smooth - BIG LIKE! You can also choose your own yukata upon checking in.

    7DonaldPosted on: 4-7-2024

Breakfast was served in buffet style. Variety was good. Many choices of food.

Some guests were given special delicacy. No where were we told how to enjoy this additional privilege, even if we were willing to pay additional. Guests stay in the same hotel but were treated differently. Bad form.

    8GregPosted on: 3-14-2024

We stayed for a couple of nights which provided good value. We were there to ski at Tazawako Ski Area with Powderhounds.com.We stayed in a twin western room that was a decent size and it provided nice views up the mountain. We had an ensuite, but only used the shower once as the water pressure wasn’t the best.Meals were buffet style and there was a good choice of food options that were decent without being amazing. The hotel onsen fit into the same category (ie nice but not amazing) and in addition to indoor baths for each gender, there were 3 outdoor baths of differing temperatures plus hot pots.

Shower pressure. Varied food each day at the buffet.
