- We left this property two nights early due to uninhabitable conditions and the lack of appropriate customer service. Note: this was an economy room. I am wondering whether the rooms that are in the upper building don’t have the same reeking smell and might be better. At check-in, I requested a different room. The staff member told me to wait until the next morning to discuss it further. After the first night, the odor in the room was overwhelming. It aggravated my asthma to the point that I could not climb the property’s stairs without shortness of breath. When I raised this urgently with the manager the following morning, my concerns were reframed as though I only wanted an “upgrade.” No solution was offered, and the property refused to acknowledge the problem. There were witnesses to these exchanges, yet the hotel continues to maintain a gaslighting attitude in writing, even going so far as to claim there was “no risk to my health” and that “mold must be visible to exist.” (!!!)Just know: if you do encounter any issue here, it will not be addressed. Even small requests were dismissed — we observed staff rolling their eyes at another guest simply asking for water. We left early, forfeiting two prepaid nights, not because of room size or view, but because the conditions were unfit for a guest with an ability to smell and management was unwilling to respond appropriately.
- The customer experience consistently fell short of expectations, marked by several key issues:- There was a significant lack of effort made to accommodate requests and wishes.- The check-in process was unpleasant and risky. Guests can use the parking until check-in was complete, leaving them vulnerable on the hotel's narrow surrounding road – an issue noted by other guests previously.- Remote Location: The nearest grocery store is a 45-minute walk (over 3km) away, making essential errands difficult.- Poor Breakfast: Breakfast quality was notably low, well below typical Italian standards.- Rules-Driven Environment: The establishment felt overly governed by rules and policies, making it difficult to understand everything and detracting from a relaxing vacation atmosphere.
- It was close to perfect. The only thing missing for me personally would have been a water kettle with tea in the room - since we were there for a cooler, rainy week. But I guess we could have gotten some tea from the hotel bar, if we had asked. So this is not really anything to complain about. We actually liked everything.

I wish they had coffee or tea in the rooms so that I could enjoy sitting in my balcony with the sea view more
Location, beautiful views, clean large cozy rooms, friendly staff, delicious breakfast.
The location with the sea view and the private beach is stunning. The breakfast buffet offers a lot of different foods - so it does not get boring, even if you stay there for a week. Our room overlooked the beach, so we could sleep to the sound of the waves and the singing of the birds in the nearby trees. Our stay was absolutely wonderful.

Beach area was beautiful. Free use of kayaks was great. The swimming area, chairs and umbrellas were well laid out. Beach bar had nice food and refreshments. Breakfast was very nice with good variety and great tea and coffee. All staff were courteous, warm and friendly eager to improve our stay. Restaurants a very short distance from our hotel were fantastic. Allot to enjoy about staying at Il Nido.
Nothing to dislike.
Excellent location, didn’t need to move for the 2 full days we were there. Staff were wonderful, very friendly and helpful.Could borrow kayaks and a snorkel.Breakfast was great - lots of choice.Lunch in beach bar was good value and tasty.
No restaurant but plenty nearby.Don’t go to this hotel if you don’t like steps/stairs.
Beautiful views ,friendly and helpful staff, fantastic weather ?
Nothing to dislike, highly recommend
Great and relaxing location. The hotel offers a great breakfast buffet with view to the sea. The staff was very friendly and supportive. We liked the location very much -- bus stop is in front of the hotel and walking into the town takes only a some minutes.
Everything was fine, just a hint for other travellers: There are a lot of stairs into the lobby, the room and to the beach. Unfortunate there is no more possibility to access the beach between checkout and departure.
been going here for years, such a lovely hotel with insane views from pretty much every room. It has a private beach and a beachbar & daybeds to tan and relax. Breakfast is very luxurious, and the rooms are very comfortable and quite mordern. The ferry to the cinque terre is close by (however it requires a change). Highly recommend
The hotel has become very popular, and therefore almost touristy. It’s best to go in low season
everything is perfect....free parking, free access to the beach, wonderfull sea view, nereby restaurants on wolking distance, Tellaro - poet city is only 10 min. of wolk from the hotel....
Great location, easy to get to with public transport. Nice breakfast, friendly staff.Great swimming at the private beach and very nice restaurants near by.Short walk into Tellaro and bus ride to Lerici.
There is a lovely little beach. The view from the breakfast room is spectacular and the breakfast buffet has many choices. All of the staff were friendly, pleasant and helpful. My single room was small but functional with good airconditioning and a small balcony. It was spotlessly clean. The photos show exactly what you are getting for your money. As has been mentioned before, there are steps from the road down to reception and further steps down to the beach so bear that in mind if you have mobility issues. There is a short walk into the village centre where there are several restaurants and bars. I would definitely stay here again for a relaxing holiday in lovely surroundings.
Quaint, typically Italian, gorgeous seating areas and little beach. Fantastic breakfast
Beautiful location, staff was very helpful, beautiful view on dining area. Remarkably- the parking lot had an incredible view.
Warning everything is STEEP. Street is narrow and people speed on the road between the upper and lower buildings. Don’t book less than 2 days- they will not allow you to use any of the beach facilities on the morning of checkout.
Direct access to the beach and the ability to have lunch just above the beach alfresco and easy walk to Tellaro.
The large number of stairs, many of which are chipped and broken.
Great hotel with private beach that was the HIT for us. Breakfast delicious with a lot of selections. Walking distance to great restaurants
The location is nice, however it is never mentioned that there are two buildings of the hotel, and the one with most rooms is across the road. The private beach is nice, but very small (5 meters maybe).
The room was tiny, although intended for four people. The staff was not friendly, the breakfast was poor.
Lobby ok, Nice view from breakfast room,
Tatty exterior. We were given a room in an annex across the road from the hotel and up several stairs. Room was clean but very basic. So called beach was extremely small and the beach bar area untidy and nothing like the photos, so we walked 15 minutes to another local beach.
