It was well-located, with friendly staff

The breakfast was average. Also, the bathroom was not separate from the bedroom.

Room was clean and newly remodeled

I was overcharged. I had paid a 50 euros deposit shortly after booking, but hotel staff had no record of that when I checked out. I even showed hotel staff my payment confirmation and my credit card statement, but he just kept pointing to his computer screen that showed I owed the 50 euros.

The location. The room had everything you need.

The WiFi was really weak (also no cell network).

Quite a long drive to the madrid airport

This is a charming hotel & in an excellent location and has very secure parking facilities. Staff very friendly, Simple rooms but bright, spacious & spotless. Excellent shower.

The hotel is well placed, close to the old town and has a small private garage, which is absolutely great. The rooms have air conditioning, are clean and nice, the staff is helping -oriented and very polite Overall a pricey, but not a bad experience

The internet connection is absolutely lousy. It pretends to be there, but the signal is almost zero. We had to use roaming data which added stupid costs to the already price accepted for the hotel.Another annoying and stressful issue was the insistence of the hotel to send me a lot of unclear repetitive and imperative mails, with an inactive link (it did not open, so I did not understand what they wanted, but when calling on phone they told me it was a link to pay in advance. It stressed me a lot, I was afraid to lose the booking if not paying. At the 5-th sending I managed to pay.. I do not understand why they did not take my money, at the booking I gave them and to Booking.com my credit card information. at check-out I had to find my receipt of paying because the Reception could not find the proof of payment)

Location - close to centre of old city

The layout of the room with bits of a bathroom spread around. Also, it was very noisy in the early hours of the morning with vehicles travelling along the cobbled road outside of the hotel

clean comfortable , location in the old city was amazing. Breakfast was good, nice selections, in a charming old house. The staff was friendly and helpful. Heat and air conditioning were excellent.

Shower was not easy to use. silly but not intuitive. Rain shower or wall shower always nice options but not easy to set up. Room was very basic, yet had everything needed.

Lovely hotel with old style inner courtyard. All rooms were centred around the courtyard at ground and upper floor. The room was perfect for a night’s stay. The location was excellent being only a few minutes walk from the cathedral and Calle mayor

The only minor issue was the the wood floor was cold during the night but that’s due to being there in January

Room one was perfect for me - I was unwell during my visit and it was a perfect place to be - I felt very safe and the bed was so comfortable - when I wanted to go out it was very close to the centre

This is an absolutely beautiful little hotel with stylish features especially the inner courtyard.My room even had its own private mini courtyard/patio. The location was fab with lots of local businesses all within walking distance.All in all this was great value for money.

The only thing I would have liked is a kettle in the bedroom.

The location is perfect. Easily walkable to the main area in Alcala as well as the train station that goes into Madrid. My hotel room was large, clean, and comfortable. There is air conditioning and heating controlled with a personal remote.

I think communication could have been better. Clubs in Madrid close at 6am and when I returned I was unable to get into the hotel. However, there is a doorbell on the side, but it looks like a camera. So we waited downstairs until someone came. No one answered when I called either.
