Pros +
- The location wonderful with a foot path to town. Well kept rooms.
- The hotel is in a perfect location right beside a beautiful coastal walk
- The location on the bluff was amazing. We loved being right by the coast with a view of the Atlantic. The proximity to 2 different beaches both within biking or walking distance along the paved path right next to the property was fantastic. The actual hotel was just OK. The location was outstanding. The parking next to the hotel in its own enclosed lot made it very convenient. Having a tiny kitchen was nice. The bed was comfortable.
Cons -
- No ocean access.Dated rooms
- The apartment was in the grounds of he hotel but on reflection we might have enjoyed being in the hotel itself
- This place targets the elderly crowd. The rooms and decor was worn out, literally faded. The pool was cold so not very enjoyable other than to sit around. Being placed in the basement came with the usual musty underground odors. The landscaping needed some attention. Some front desk were more helpful than others, I had to circle back to talk to more knowledgeable staff. No coffee or tea bags in the unit and $6 latte's.....a bit much really. The bathroom and shower are very small. I felt grandma's discarded furniture was placed around, overall updates need to be done. NO FITNESS or bike rental

Fabulous site overlooking the Ocean.Amazing and spacious facilities! Great atmosphere, beautiful decoration.Fantastic restaurant and easy access to downtown.. Absolute pleasure.
We loved the hotel tennis court and the overall views from the property are stunning. The hotel is conveniently located right on the pedestrian path that takes you to town. It was a lovely walk.
The hotel only offered an expensive breakfast buffet. It would have been nice to have an option for just a simple pastry and coffee.
This hotel is in a beautiful hilltop location and a beautiful walk along the Bay to Saint Jean de Luz where there are many wonderful places to eat, shop and explore. The staff is SUPERB!
The only small drawback is if you sat in the formal restaurant area (inside and outside) you were required to order from the expensive menu.
Beautiful scenery, comfortable rooms, & delicious breakfast. The pool was amazing and the staff very friendly and helpful.
Excellent location, easy and picturesque walk into the centre of St Jean de Luze; friendly and helpful staff; first rate restaurant
Room decoration was bland
Location and excellent staff and easy parking. Good decor. Food of high standard. Extensive outdoor grounds.
Privilege rooms a bit small. Pillows could be improved.
O hotel é lindo, no meio da natureza. O restaurante do hotel, caro mas delicioso.
The pools were great fun for the kids.Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. A nice walk into St Jean.
It’s very expensive, although our stay was in peak season so to be expected.
Great location and amazing long and deep pool. . Good restaurant with good food. However we have struggled to order when we’re dining second time .
The biggest minus is very poor buffet for breakfast. It is ridiculous to pay almost 400 euro a night in a big hotel and get only so limited choice . We would stay longer than 2 nights would be very frustrating.
Great pool, garden and facilities. Fantastic location with top views.
No direct sea view or terrace from the suite room. Hotel a bit older.
High quality accommodation with lovely gardens and beautiful views over the sea. Really helpful and friendly staff who gave great recommendations for places to eat in St Jean de Luz.
the view is great and since this is not their peak period, the hotel was quiet
I would rate this hotel exceptional if it wasnt for the smoking. I had a main floor room with a terrace. I prefer to keep the patio door open for air. the hotel has no smoking in the rooms but clients can smoke on their terrace. the next door person was smoking and the smoke and smells was coming in to my room. I do not support that and I was forced to close my patio door.
Great location with self catering options overlooking sea
Room we had could do with a revamp not bad but dated
The pool area is very nice.
The restaurant. We had to leave without ordering as the service was very slow - we were kept waiting for a considerable time before anyone came to our table to greet us; it was too warm in the restaurant and there are only 4 choices of starter and main. It’s not the top rated establishment we thought it would be. It all seemed a bit stifling and not relaxed.
Nice pool and grounds - great views. Food delicious. A very French hotel - clean functional and good to visit. The second room was much better - lighter and more spacious with a comfortable terrace
First room/studio was poor - dark, cramped and little view of the sea. The hotel's position was lovely although it come at the cost of a walk into town - which was ok but the walk surrounds were boring/suburban
Wonderful staff, ambience, position
Quite a lot of flies at breakfast on the terrace but otherise superb
We absolutely loved our night in this hotel. The restaurant was fully booked for our stay so we walked into the town (25 minutes) and had dinner at La Boëte, the best restaurant we have enjoyed in 40 days of touring Spain, Portugal and France.
Nothing, it was wonderful
