The former "palacio", now hotel and restaurant, is a perfect mix of comfort and history, situated in a truly beautiful location with stunning views towards the mountain peaks. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and peaceful. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The breakfast was really outstanding, with freshly prepared orange juice, fruit salad, cakes, pastries meats, cheeses, homemade preserves, all served to our table. There were so many terraces to choose from to sit outside with a drink - or even breakfast! There was even a wonderful seating area under a former grain store (i.e. a typical Asturian farm buiding on stone "legs"). Sounds odd, but it is the perfect place to shelter from rain or sun. Electric bikes were available, and good walks possible from the door. The grounds are beautiful, the views even better, and I wish we had been able to book more than one night. We'll be back!

The dinner and breakfast were both amazing, as was the grounds of the hotel.

The hotel is in a stunning location, with long views of green mountains stretching in to the distance on all sides. The sound of running water from nearby streams, the tinkle of cow bells and the occasional cries of eagles and ravens added to the glorious location and sense of tranquility. Lovely gardens and terraces provided various options for sitting out with a good book, or to enjoy a drink. The food was exceptional, both for dinner and for breakfast, while the staff were very welcoming and created a fantastic, restful atmosphere. If only we could have stayed longer…

There was nothing we didn’t like. This is a magical place and we wouldn’t want anything to be changed.

Beautiful property in a gorgeous and quiet location. Tons of spaces to relax and hang out.

Rooms didn’t have windows and ceilings were sloped so it’s not the most comfortable for a long stay.

The location, the food, the staff, the room

No drink facilities in the room

Idyllic location. Every need catered for. The food was out of the world, both evening meal and especially breakfast. No request was too much and the staff went out of the way to make us feel welcome.

Luxury comes with a price, as they say. And while value for money was excellent, it wasn't exceptional. The property is only accessible by car.

The Picos ..The wild flowers … the fresh produce like Ballymaloe in Cork Ireland … nothing better The old stone buildings / architecture

Remote property with all amenities that we needed.

If you don’t have a car it would be probably difficult to reach.

Beautiful building, great location in the hills. Dinner and breakfast were great, nice staff.

    Attic room has low ceilings

Narbasau is one of those few 5 star hotels take makes you feel special. We loved every moment of our stay. It is a newly renovated momument that is decorated with excellent taste. The staff is great; very nice people that make you feel welcome. The restaurant is excellent, the rooms are spacy and confortable.

If Narbasu had a pool, it would be heaven on earth. It did not disappoint us because we knew beforehand that it did not have a pool. But with a pool, one would never want to leave the hotel.

The scenery is stunning and the interior is beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed our meal in the restaurant.

We loved our stay. The only small issue was that we ordered a set menu and two of the courses were changed during the meal without consultation. We chose a menu without fish but were served tuna. The food was delicious so we didn’t mind too much but it could have been a problem for someone with allergies.

Wow - what a stunning location and property. Absolute serenity and bliss. The staff were so friendly and kind. We had a stunning meal at Casa Marcial and the team were able to easily arrange a transfer to and from Narbasu. Very accommodating when we were running late as well. We had dinner at Narbasu and had another outstanding meal. The surrounding landscape, smells and sounds are just magical. The tinkling of the cow bells is something that we were not used to and gave the view an extra special touch. This was a very special stay for us and has been the highlight of our honeymoon. We hope that we will be able to make it back one day.

    Nothing - it was perfect.

The room was really spacious and the view from the windows was amazing. Breakfast was very tasty! The building itself looks historic and location is quite away from everything, but this is what we were looking for.

I would probably prefer to have a little bit more of breakfast, but I am a breakfast person.

    10MollyPosted on: 9-15-2023

The hotel is situated in a beautiful area. We were close to both beaches and Picos de Europa. The food was spectacular. All the staff were lovely and very accommodating. Do not hesitate - stay here.

Stunning location lovely room and views . Interesting old building

Food extremely expensive for very small portions and hardly any vegetarian options. Not one vegetarian main dish on offer.

    9AnaPosted on: 8-12-2023

We loved the location, with a beautiful view, and the staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was amazing (one of the best breakfast we’ve ever had). Definitely it is a place we would love to come back and would highly recommend.

    9LouisPosted on: 8-10-2023

The property is a beautiful old house in the countryside with all the modern comforts. The food was excellent in the restaurant and the staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved our stay.
