    Pros +

    • The overall ambience of the hotel was gorgeous. I loved how they picked straight from their garden for their meals. Oranges, avocados, lemons, limes, grapes, tomatoes, and more were all grown on the premise and you could taste the freshness. Hotel staff was very friendly and they offer events throughout the week like hiking, cooking, and yoga. Highly recommend the cooking class. In very close proximity to Arkadi Monastery which was worth the historic visit. Definitely need to have a car as there is not much in walkable distance but they do have free parking.
    • Gorgeous property, romantic and also family friendly. We arrived late and they prepared the list wonderful plates and bottle of wine waiting for us. The grounds have an abundance of fruit trees. The breakfast is the best hotel breakfast I’ve had. We also enjoyed the taverna in a nearby village. The staff had wonderful recommendations for beaches, restaurants, etc. Really special place.
    • Everything - beautiful design, delicious food, tranquil, relaxing.

    Cons -

    • We had massages which were great, but would have been even better if we could have done a couples massage.
    • If anything to note, you have to drive for day trips, as nothing is without walking distance.
    • Hot water was inconsistent in the suite

Beautiful setting, great pool and bar..

Rooms are a little dated, gym is very small, no parking, understaffed during dinner

We stayed at this beautifully designed boutique hotel and had a truly memorable experience. The location is excellent, the rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, and the breakfast was one of the best we've had — fresh, diverse, and beautifully served. The swimming pool and the entire aesthetic of the hotel are simply stunning, creating a calm and elegant atmosphere that made our stay very enjoyable.

That said, we did encounter a couple of issues that slightly affected our experience. Our room had ants, and although we mentioned it, we weren’t offered an alternative room. Additionally, the windows in our room were at street level, facing a path leading to the restaurant, which meant people walking by could see directly into our bedroom and bathroom. This compromised our privacy and forced us to keep the windows closed most of the time — not ideal, especially considering the high standard of the hotel.Still, it’s a wonderful place with great potential. If these minor issues are addressed, it could be nearly perfect. We truly appreciated the beauty and ambiance of the hotel and would recommend it, with a note to check the room details in advance.

Amazing hotel in quiet spot with views on the mountains and the sea. Delicious food and very helpful friendly staff

    Everything was excellent

Excellent breakfast with a great choice which was slightly different each day. Home made pastries and cakes were delicious. The restaurant was excellent for dinner and lunch. The landscaping and gardens were beautiful and the buildings nestled in nicely. Lovely views as far as the sea.

The shower over the bath in our suite was disappointing and the bathroom could have done to be modernised.

The meals and breakfast were amazing. The staff were very attentive and the rooms clean and lovely. A really quiet location in the mountains, a short walk away from the nearest village and a quick drive to the larger towns. Definitely a place to lay back, relax and be taken care of.

    Everything was perfect.

    Lovely peaceful location

Stunning rebuild of a traditional village, really authentic and beautifully finished to 5 Star luxury with rustic charm

Hotel is at a restored olive mill once associated with Arkadi Monastary. Stayed in Olive Mill Suite. Beautiful landscaping and fresh food. Authentic Cretan experience, staff very attentive, quiet place to disconnect. Nice cats at breakfast.

Arrive during the daytime; the roads are small and windy (though paved) and difficult to navigate in the dark.

If I could give it 11/10, I would. Wonderful service with friendly, helpful staff, stunning rooms, unbelievable breakfast and evening meal, beautiful grounds with fresh produce everywhere, a dose of history, a lovely pool, great cocktails.... Absolutely faultless. Bucket list hotel.

Every single thing was absolute perfection.

It was an authentic top hospitality experience. Beautiful location between the greek mountains in a peaceful atmosphere. You can wonder around The original restored stones buildings of the hotel with its plush garden full of flowers and grown vegetables and fruits , the terrace view of the room on the mountains and the sunset makes the stay so special . When you enter the breakfast room it greets you with freshly baked Greek sweet and sour pastries. The toailetries in the bathroom are made from Greek herbs/oils and smell amazing. The pool is very clean and the loungers are well placed all around. It’s a perfect place to get away from the crowded tourist locations.

    - I looooved the food, the greek salad was my favourite of all time and the village fries also! And the fact that we had most of the veggies put on display was a plus. - breakfast the best!- Loved the fact that SOMETIMES it was quiet and you could enjoy some quality time walking around. - Loved the staff, very polite and friendly.

    - the town or anything else you was far and you needed a car or a taxi(35 euro one way). Maybe a little shuttle bus for people who do not drive would be an idea. - the fact that “Peace” and “Quiet” was an illusion given the fact that the accomodation is full of families with kids and I could not sleep(baby crying all night + screaming at midday when I wanted to try to sleep again + kids screaming at the pool and sometimes at lunch).- the bad coffee that you find all over Greece. They do not have speciality coffee and someone would expect to find this at a high rating accomodation. - no movie night like advertised, something was not working and it was not resolved in a week.

We loved the tranquility and the fresh produce used for the food at the restaurant. The history of the old olive oil mill and surrounding gardens within the property were immaculate. The food at the restaurant was high quality and quite diverse. Everything was done so tastefully. The breakfast served was delicious and d so fresh! Rooms were very clean also.

Even though the location was away from all the tourists, it was a little too secluded but it didn’t really bother us much as it was very peaceful.

Very beautiful location. Excellent breakfast. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Renovated rooms in old setting, well done!
