Babis Hotel

It's a cute hotel next to the sea with gorgeous view! We love it so much! Our balconies and rooms were enough spacious and clean. The breakfast was delicious and the hosts were really kind and helpful. They could lend us sunbrellas :)

We couldn't get breakfast when we went to a trip or travelled back to the airport. But we paid for it. They didn't offer me another opportunity to breakfast, just shared us the information.

A nice, quiet hotel, wonderfully located near the beach, with a pool on the premises. Upon request, we received comfortable cribs for the children. There are several restaurants nearby and a shop not far away. We recommend the hotel.

It was close to beach, nice location.The owners where very nice and polite.Breakfast is nice, everything is fresh but always very similar breakfast, no variety.Great place for the price paid.

Great staff, very nice people. The hotel is situated near a perfect beach, great for swimming, tanning and snorkeling!

The place was good for the price was, breakfast was good, location also good, not far from the beach, but not first row, swimming pool was also nice and clean, staff was very friendly and helping, overall review is good.

The bathroom didn't had lock, the water was not good one, when washing felt like salty water.

Everything was how we expected it to be. Excellent ratio of price and quality. Breakfast was simple and tasty. Pool is very clean and tidy like the whole hotel in general. Parking is big enough, too. All in all, we recommend this accommodation if you have car rented to visit beautiful beaches.

The nearest beach was couple minutes away but it wasn't pleasant at all. We recommend Spilies beach (for example) that is close (about 10min towards Heraklion by car) and is very nice. Maybe they should add hair dryer to bathroom. Also grass around the pool is minus - but not that important.

Our stay in hotel Babis was very good for summer vacation.Breakfast was tasty. Comfortable beds and good view from balcony. Hotel has a pool too. Bus stop is nearby so you can visit Rethymno without car, or another beaches in surrounding. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Friendly owners, good location for reaching different spots in Crete. Clean room, simple, but tasty breakfast. Good value for the money you pay :)

Room with a garden view was not exactly I expected, because the real view was a view (and a sound) of a nearby road. It would be nice to have a hairdryer in the room, and a mosquito nest, as well. Besides, we missed water during breakfast time, because the only option was juice.

Stunning location and the view from our balcony was superb. The owner and the family were lovely, always ready to help and so easy to talk to. Breakfasts were simple but delicious, not a fry up in sight!!!

The mother and son running the place, we fantastic. They made us feel like family. They were attentive, cordial and ALWAYS helpfull.

The location is perfect, everything is near, sea, supermarket and bus station.

The Babis is family owned - relaxed , no heirs and graces - I loved it .

The beds are a little hard but otherwise I have nothing to complain about .

If you are looking for a quiet,relaxing and peaceful accommodation and area, this is your place! It is far from agitation but so close to it at the same time. ( The distante from Babis to Rethymno is about 10km and there you can Find e everything you want, but then you return to silence and relaxation at the hotel) the beach is also kind of wild and empty, no many people in there, so by night you can stay on the beach and hear the sound of the sea and nature-the perfect place for relax. Also,Manoils, the owner, is a very kind Greek man but he speaks English too. He helps you with any questions you have. The rooms are clean, you won’t find here luxury but the hotel is looking very well and very clean. You can rent a car for long walkings or you can go by bus or day trips( I recommend day trips to many destinations in Crete). I will return here for sure!

the pool was clean and always available. it was right by the beach so in 3 minutes you could be in the water and there were free beds and umbrellas. breakfast was plentiful and carefully prepared by the owners. the room was cleaned every day with extra care. the balcony had a great view of the water and a place to hang wet clothes. there were numerous common areas to enjoy a beer or just sit and enjoy the views.

the doors are not sound proof so you hear your neighbors when they are in the hallways.

The staff was very gentle and sweet. The pool was nice and in general it’s a good hotel considering it is a 2 star.

The building it’s quite old, so the rooms are a bit underwhelming. The breakfast could also use some improvement.

Breakfast was good but I wouldn't mind some variety and also local products like Feta

The mattresses were very hard and not the best quality
