    Pros +

    • Beautiful, quiet location. Great food and wine.
    • We stayed one night on our way back home. The pool temperature is not that high so if it’s not sunny it will be a bit difficult to use it.Overall facilities are fine but not “brand new”, some things like furniture or common areas show their ageThere is a nice view to the village across wineyards and also you can enjoy a short trip with a rented bike
    • The staff at the wine shop and reception were polite and helpful. The restaurant dinner was nothing special, but the breakfast was excellent.Pool was very nice and warm.

    Cons -

    • It was a little spendy.
    • We had booked a 4-course dinner, which unfortunately did not include any wine like in some other hotel spas. When we entered the restaurant, the waiter checked our menu package and advised us to take the starters from the table even though we had a menu. When we had taken them, another waiter came to tell us that they would have to add the price to the menu because it was not part of the menu. So unfortunately we missed one dish from the menu. The menu dinner was nothing special, compared to the ala carte list that people around us had, the portions were modest, especially the mains and deserts. Next time would not take the menu. All the instructions were always in German, so with tourist German we had to ask a little what everything meant in the spa. Saunas were nice, but not very warm. Dog fee of 30€ is quite high when it only includes a small treat bag and "rental bowls". There was no bathroom door.
    • We expected more of the 4 course dinner. Too expensive for the outcome. Next time we would just book breakfast and eat at the bar in the evening. It was hot in our room especially during the nights. Not possible to open the balcony door due to bugs cause there were no insect screens.

Breakfast and spa was really nice

It was quite busy at the pool, a few more sunbeds would have been great

Good location although not superb. Nice assembly of Spa facilities inside and outside. Nice ambience in lobby and vinothek next door.

    - Room/Suite: 1)room-entrance door does not close by itself. While it was equipped withan automated door closer this would still leave the door 5inch open. Very disturbing; Lot of force needed to push it into the lock. 2) A lot of dust in many places 3)Coffe-machine would not take the capsule easily, needed to fiddle around many times before it would work; 4) lamp/lightbulb in shower room dislodged. did not give us a safe feel when showering. - 5) door to shower very heavy and almost impossible to keep open a bit. 6) welcome at the frontdesk was correct but certainly not welcoming; check-out lasted 15min since CC machine did not work and I needed to line up at a different counter 7) room interior is a matter of taste. In our view is was cheap and lacked any design concept or similar. Looked like too few furniture randomly tossed into a too big room. 8)Too few staff for too mayn customers in the vinothek on two occasions.

The staff was above and beyond, e.g., in helping charge our EV, in accommodating us at the spa. Everything was wonderful - the pool, the infrared sauna, the room with balcony and view, the food, the wine tasting. The location is excellent close to many amazing wineries and buschenschanken.

When it's raining (which happens) that mostly leaves the sauna/steam room in the spa but not really an indoor pool. More time for food & wine. ;)

Nice retreat hotel in a pitoresque vineyard above cosy village in Southern Styria. Great for summer weekend or longer stay, with kids, dogs, winelovers or other pets. Great food and wonderful wines.

During out 2 nights long weekend stay, everything went well. However, the night right before our departure, the hotel preauthorized the full price for our stay from our credit card (without noticing or letting us know, obviously). After we paid the whole amount at checking out, the preauthorization was not cancelled and remained in full effect for next 14 days inducing quite a discomfort during our next stay in Croatia and again in Austria. We requested the hotel to cancel the block directly the same day we departed and again about a week after but with no effect (firstly, they ať least promised to do something, secondly, the hotel desk have not responded anyhow). It is still active as of now. The worst experience with "Austrian hospitality" so far.

We have been returning to this property, so we generally like it.

But this last time we were really unhappy with how the hotel stuff handled our call regarding a forgotten branded peace of clothing. We rang the moment we returned home (when we realized we forgot it in the room) - like 10 times, no response. We left a message. No response. We called next day and told the receptionist what we forgot and where exactly. They promised to check and call back. They did not. We phoned again next day - and were really sad because they did not show they care. They did not want to listen to our explanation ... we knew where it was left. I stopped by in 10 days and then they said it's difficult to find lost items after a week ... We were really disappointed they they did not show any care - they just did not make the trouble to try to find it. or at least give us a feeling that they tried. Despite our nice stay the overall feeling is: dissapointed.

the pool and the relax theme . Excellent breakfast

missing signage in english around the sauna, steam and outside area and understanding the etiquette

    8AnnaPosted on: 3-5-2022

very friendly and nice, delicious food and wine.

the resting areas of the sauna, now cold tub to cool down naked after the sauna, not whirl pool. the spa area is nice, but I have seen better.

Everything about this place was perfect - the room, the breakfast, the spa services, the pool, the sauna - absolutely everything. The location is idyllic and very close to several wineries. The services were excellent, as was the quality of the wine and food served in the restaurant.

The rooms could be a bit bigger and the fitness room could use a bit more equipment - however, there is really nothing truly negative I can say about this place.

    8DragutinPosted on: 9-21-2021

Hotel itself, SPA and pool area with mobile bar, location and overall concept is exceptional. Visiting same hotel for years proves excitement and wish it will continue.

Big disappointment is hotel restaurant menu and staff. It looks like menu is same for ages and after so many visits it is more than boring and below other hotel’s high standards and far below expectations (except great breakfast). Staff is too junior and lady at SPA’s reception was ‘lost in space’ and not speaking a bit of English
