    Pros +

    • The accommodation is in the center of the village, right opposite the ski lift. Perfect for skiing. Evening walk in the village is beautiful. We were on half board, perfect breakfast and dinner. The wellness area of the accommodation is small, but completely usable.
    • The location of the hotel is spectacular! The staff are friendly & helpful. The room was spotless & very comfortable. The pool & sauna are very clean & refreshing. The breakfast buffet was delicious & was a great way to start the day!We appreciate that this Hotel was the original hotel in Heiligenblut. We loved our stay here!Historically, Heiligenblut was where the signing took place to create Austria’s 1st National Park in 1971.Be sure to stop in the Haus der Steinbőcke which is the Visitor Center in town. They have a permanent exhibition & short film, ‘Der Kőnig und sein Thron’.You will learn all about the natural environment of the area. It is well worth your time. They have a Swarovski crystal telescope outside their cafe where you can look at the Grőssglocker and surrounding mountains up close.
    • Perfect location for skiers, just in front of the cable car station which takes you to the altitude of 2600 m, so you can ski on the fresh powder even in March. Hotel is furnished in a cozy village style. Sauna and swimming pool included in the price. Nice food.

    Cons -

    • Maybe it's just that when skiing, there weren't many closets or hangers suitable for storing clothes, especially when you're traveling with a lot of clothes.

    • Staff does not speak German or English at all, only at the reception a little bit which is not enough. They mixed up invoices with other people and we could not resolve as they do not speak language. You can not order in restoran but only showing what is written in the list.

The only good thing was the location, near lift.

Location in Heiligenblut is just across main cable car so it is very comfortable to skiers.

This facility doesn’t deserve 4stars at all! Inside decoration needs serious renovation. Staff is Hungarian and mostly hardly understand German or English.

Top location for skiers, everything superclean, friendly staff, nice breakfast and dinner, sauna, pool...all very nice.

Very spatious room, big balcony with view, the sauna and swimming pool, friendly waiters, good breakfast.

    - very bad pillow and no extra pillows in the room.- the half board is buffet style, but the food was not that advanced: fishsticks, spagetti, porc cotelets, schnitzels (but very good).- not possible to arrange the temperature in the room.- interiour a bit outdated. - no cosy bar area in the hotel.

Excellent cuisine, location directly in front of the lift, nice staff, clean everywhere

Very weak (almost no) Wi-Fi signal in the room - room at the end of the corridor.

    10BorisPosted on: 1-28-2022

Staff very friendly, proximity of the ski gondola, excelent breakfast and dinner.

    Nothing that bothered me.

    10ŽigaPosted on: 1-25-2022

The room was clean and (even though the furniture is a bit dated) very well maintained. A large balcony had a great view of surrounding peaks. The breakfast was versatile and delicious, and so was the dinner. Hotel wellness, though not very large, was clean and comfortable. The ski storage room was available to us, which was great. Overall, a great experience would definitely recommend!
