Extremely nice front desk employee. Greeted us with a big smile and was so helpful. We found the location to be easy to walk around Toruń and visit old town churches and places to eat.

There was a party happening at the corner of the street at the pub called Koci Ogon and it was very loud until around 230am. It was a random Tuesday night also, which we wouldn't expect for that pub to be this busy. We know this was totally out of Hotel Retmans control and we will still plan on coming back.

If you want to visit the medieval part of Torun this is the hotel. Close to the river and the walls, very close to the cathedral, city center a walking distance. The street is very quiet, few cars. Breakfast is very good. Staff attentive. Good shower.

If you come by car there can be problem to park near the hotel. As many old hotels in Europe the floor can be a little "noisy" and if someone walk in the stairs you hear it.

The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city center and the Old Town, with everything within walking distance.

This hotel is excellent value for money. The staff were lovely and helpful. The rooms are very comfortable with a kettle and fridge, which is very handy. The breakfast was delicious and the location is very central.

There is a bar or club nearby that was a little noisy but with the windows closed it wasn't too bad.

Room very depressing. Extremely dark in the morning and evening due to poor lightning- far too low power rating lightbulbs! Not enough light points.Dirty and stained duvet and pillow inserts!!!Room not cleaned and bin not emptied every day. Bed not done at all. Not enough sockets!! Single sockets next to the bedside table occupied by the plugs from table lamps- no space for connecting chargers. Only one socket next to the entry door.

It was very loud in the room. Both from the street and from the hallway.

I loved that this was an old-fashioned authentic European hotel. They still have real keys for the door. It was clean, centrally located to the old town and a wonderful bargain with very courteous staff.

The only recommendation I would make is for the owner to replace with soundproof windows. I know that may compromise the beauty of those old-fashioned windows that crank open to the outside, but there were motorcycles that rode up and down the street at night that kept me awake. I imagine it is very expensive to do this. Luckily they didn’t go on all night.

The location is in the very center. A good breakfast. Atmospheric, clean, comfortable room.

We really liked the atmosphere of this old house. The breakfast was rich. Location is excellent!

I liked it all! Stairs to the room were quite steep so some guests may struggle but we were fine!

Room was clean in interesting building.

No lift, had to ask for help with luggage. No fridge, tiny fan. One bed had slopping mattress. Breakfast average.

It is city center. Old city center. It can get loud even at night. Cars, people etc.

Very clean, comfortable, spacious and beautifully furnished room. There was a street view from the window. The room was equipped with an electric kettle, instant coffee and two bottles of water. There was a daily housekeeping (you can ask for more coffee for example). Good location next to Vistula River and Old Town.

Breakfast: If you are vegan, be informed that there is no soy milk or other plant-based products, mainly bread, fruit, marmalade, coffee, tea and juice.

Everything especially after other more private airbnb and booking.com accommodation. Great bed, advice from reception and wonderful breakfast.

We enjoyed both the breakfast, which offered lots of choices, and the fantastic location of the hotel. We could reach everywhere quickly, as everything we wanted to visit was within walking distance.

We enjoyed both the breakfast and the location of the hotel; however, our room was on the top floor (4th), and there was no elevator. The stairs were too steep and twisted, making it quite dangerous to navigate up and down. The pillow was not very comfortable, and the toilet was not cleaned properly.
