Pros +
- It was designed for tranquility! Everyone who worked there was as friendly, and supportive. They truly cared that your trip was perfect. Booking everything they could for you. Their food was excellent, but their views were fantastic! We went for a hike to the top of the vineyard. It was not a long hike in miles but very high. Wonderful!
- We had a wonderful experience at this property. The rooms were very comfortable and the staff was extraordinary. Cleanliness and beds were exceptional.
- Absolutely everything, from the second we arrived we felt so at home. The staff made your really feel like family and the stay itself was breathtaking. If you want to stay away from the "tourist trap" wineries, and want a more quiet location for a true getaway - this is the place.

- Everything was wonderful.
- Nothing at all, wish I stayed longer.
- We thought the food was good but not great. Our dinners were served lukewarm at best which made them less enjoyable.

The area and views were stunning. We liked the room and all the facilities and the staff were extremely attentive and accommodating. We used the hotel e-bikes and took a lovely bike ride around the nearby villages. It was a good location from which to explore the entire Douro valley area.

This hotel is stunning in the Duoro Valley. If we had time we would have used the spa and pool facilities. The onsite restaurant was fantastic and made for a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is beautifully set on the hillside over looking the river.
Not sure what would have been better other than roping off the pathway that looks like part of the driveway that would be terrible if you were to continue on it.
The facility is new and beautiful. Room was well appointed and breakfast room service was delicious. Amazing views everywhere. Front desk was very responsive with my emails and check-in. It's in a remote area so keep in mind it's about $30-35 euros to get anywhere.
Restaurant was a disappointment. We were seated by the host who didn't know the menu. We decided to order a cocktail and it took 3 waiters to figure out we wanted a martini (which was on the menu). It took 45 mins to get. Our 1st appetizers arrived after 1 hour. After waiting another hour (other couples started to complain), we asked to cancel and the waitress said it was too late. Waited longer and the tartare was gross and the oxtail ravioli has zero taste. Hopefully management will focus on staff training (no one at the spa, or bar area), no one cleaning up pool area. Fix these things and we'll be back!
Spa, meals, our room. The staff was exceptional to a person. Special recognition to Christiana, Carolina, Joana, Ines F, Ines A Daniel, Andrea and Mariana. They were all magnificent, warm, made us laugh and provided an amazing level of hospitality. Our massage therapist, Ilda gave one of the best massages I have had.
Douro is a gorgeous area! We drove from Braga and it was stunning scenery. The hotel is more upscale than I expected and it was the one place on our trip that I let myself just relax by the pool, read, and not try to do anything. Even got a massage. (We walked a LOT in Portugal) My husband rented an e-bike and went up to some of the surrounding villages which he loved. Our room was very comfortable with a wonderful view. I slept like a baby. The grounds are immaculate and the staff ready to meet your every need. There is a bar by the pool, and it is very relaxed. We enjoyed speaking with the staff and learning about the area. You can walk the vineyard trails and there are gardens around the hotel as well.
On our first night the kitchen couldn't seem to keep up with the guests and the dining room was a bit chaotic. We (and everyone else by the look of it) ate very late (+2 hours after being seated). The staff serving seemed to be trying their best as they were really hustling and made up for the long wait so I will chalk it up to a fluke. Ricardo, the Sommelier, was especially apologetic and accommodating. By the next evening everything was smooth. The food and wine were delicious. Breakfast was also very good - the crepes were outstanding.
It is very cozy, nice and clean hotel. Very nice staff , so professional. It was a pleasure to stay there.
Luxurious new hotel in an idyllic setting. Gracious staff from the moment of our arrival — we were greeted at our car, o
Excellent facilities and a very new hotel the staff were fantastically helpful friendly and efficient. The restaurant with its fantastic panoramic view was brilliant and the staff there, especially Viktor, Gui and Inesh deserve special mention.
Nothing!
Beautifully designed hotel that is in its infancy. A map of walks, a few more wines would help. Otherwise all good.
The staff were very attentive! The place was beautiful and the spa and pool were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place.
Location Location Location , Views , hotel meet & greet , the ambience and quality of the hotel. The walks and cycle rides around the property were both memorable , calming yet as energetic as you feel. The evening wine tasting experience was a nice touch, this could easily be expanded by a tour of the vines.
The restaurant food was of an excellent standard , Breakfast was pleasantly surprising. However the marred by an inexperienced maitre de who hopefully will develop into match the quality of the hotel, facilities and staff.
Design, location, food, staff
Spa is good but is not dimensioned well for the amount of guests, small children allowed in.
Great location and breakfast was great. the hotel was clean and the staff were second to none. Very impressed with the service.
Bathroom is slightly strange layout and not that private but no real issues surrounding this.
They welcome us with a very nice wine and show us the place! It was beautiful!Really comfortable and beautiful views and close to whole of the winery ??❤️The breakfast was wow!! Really good and not like the topical in the hotels
The winery that they suggested wasn’t good (we booked from the hotel and they say we didn’t) and would let us do the wine tasting just the tour…They restaurant at the hotel was nice but not too good and the food was expensive for the value
We booked middle level room and when we got there they upgraded us to a executive suite, we appreciated the gesture a lot.
There was honestly nothing to complain.
Brand new hotel, very friendly and kind staff.Everything was wonderful
The bed matress was a bit hard
Everything was very nice. I can highly recommend this place. The staff was amazing. I highly recommend taking the ebikes, a fun and impressive way to visit nearby areas. The spa is also highly recommended. We felt taken cared of all the time, and everything was thought out down to the last detail. And the views!! Wow! We hope to come back!
