We were not able to check in

Hotel is not accessible for people who have to difficulty walking and climbing stairs.Many website claims are false or partially not true.Having to climb up many steps with luggage is not doable.Parking is nonexistent.No employee to help. Only one ill woman at property.

The breakfast buffet was incredible. It had a full selection of options to meet most people's dietary wants/needs. Great staff.

There isn't an elevator at the parking/street level to help get baggage to room level. Need to carry luggage up about 12 stairs before entering hotel and being able to use the hotel's internal elevators.

We loved the room. Not only was it clean, but it was comfortable and we had an amazing breakfast in the morning.

The hotel and staff were both excellent.

There is no escaping the stairs and they are steep although the hotel staff were more than happy to help us to carry our luggage but when you have very bad knees the stairs are just awful. There are very few restaurants close to the hotel, one is very expensive the other is very basic and a little unfriendly.

Excellent location near the river, nice and clean room.Nice and well equipped bathroom.Excellent breakfast.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Folgosa Douro! The location is absolutely stunning — right by the river, with peaceful views and easy access by car to the main attractions in the Douro Valley. The room was very clean and comfortable, and we loved waking up to the view of the vineyards and the river each morning.The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always making sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was fresh, varied, and delicious — a perfect way to start the day.It’s a fantastic place to relax and explore the Douro region. We would definitely recommend it and hope to return in the future!

We loved the location, the river view, and the port wine on arrival. We had a rental car, so this location was perfect, and the parking in the driveway and across the street was sufficient for us. Also, breakfast was delicious!

Amazing view from the terrace! Lovely staff, everything was clean and nice. Breakfast was good.

A bit of a struggle getting our luggage uphill to the reception. Also there is no proper dinner at the hotel.

The location on the Douro River is excellent. Our room was comfortable with a nice river view. Great staff and good breakfast. D

I understand that the hotel has plans to bring the entrance down to the front of the building which would be a very good idea. Also I’m not in armored with the coffee machines which I understand were a product of Covid. Please get rid of them!

Very nice hotel which is a part of Quinta da Pacheca (little bottle of port wine Pacheca was included in the price of the room).

Friendly staff, good breakfast, clean facilities, easy parking and next to the Michelin Star chef Rui Paula restaurant on the Duoro!

It is Central to the whole Douro Valley experience and the staff were very helpful.

Although it is Central, there is not much to do or eat in the area. It is ideal for those who have a car and do not mind to get the car every time you need something.

We loved the location looking out over the Duoro river and the friendly , helpful staff.

It was nice to be able to walk around. The view of the Douro River was beautiful,The buffet breakfast was good.We really enjoyed the restaurant up the hill just before the hotel. The pizza was delicious. We went two nights.

It was nice and cozy. The breakfast had a great selection. The staff was very attentive. Special star goes to Patricia, she was great with recommendations, proactively proposed activities to do that were amazing.
