Calm, staff is very sympathetic, good room, very good breakfast

Very good breakfast; after our first night we had an early reservation at Paiva Walkways and wouldn’t make it to the breakfast, and the hosts packed cold snacks for us; free parking.

- after our first night we had an early reservation and left around 7:30am; unfortunately, we had to return and were very surprised that the property was completely locked. We tried the gate buzzer, sending messages through Booking, nothing worked; we had to wait almost until 8:30am until the staff started showing up. If there were issues with getting back to our room, the hosts should have communicated it at the check in. - slow internet;- we could not open the balcony door to let the fresh air in because of the mosquitoes and the absence of a screen door;- the bedding smelled weird;- there were pink stains on some of the pillowcases.

Access road somewhat difficult and little space for parking,

This was a real pleasant surprise. Excellent value for money. Very spacious and clean rooms. We wish we had time to chill on our veranda after a strenuous hike to the suspension bridge, but we arrived early evening and there is no meal option in the hotel. However the hotel called a taxi and recommended a lovely restaurant in the center of Arouca. The taxi was 7 euro and worth it, after a day driving on windy roads. We also unfortunately had no time to try the pool.Breakfast had lots of fresh fruit. The coffee wasn't so good but everything else was good. We would have liked more time to chill in the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Matrass could be better

I like the view of the garden and the mountain. The room was clean and has a timeless design, an eye for detail. Very friendly staff and relaxed location. A great way to enjoy the view was by sitting on the balcony.

A bit from town centre, but that also was ok.

Very friendly and hospitable staff, clean room with minibar and balcony. Great environment and a great place to relax. It has a pool.Breakfast was good. I had a wonderful experience and moment when checking out. The lady who worked there was very hospitable and she gave me a souvenir (kinds of sweets) from Arouca at check out. It was a really good experience.

Just minor things is that the water of pool was so cold

The apartment was big and with space for a 4 people family. Kitchen was equipped and clean. The swimming pool was ok. Location was calm and with large green areas.

Maybe cleanliness of the swimming pool, but overall experience was very good

There was a lot of fruit, 3 types of cheese, coffee, water and some juices,

but one othe the natural juices was acid already. The staff was very distant and forgot to charge the stay before we left.

Location is very close to Paiva walkway which was great for us, rooms are great, breakfast is great, pool is a really nice extra with all the hammocks around it, view is beautiful, and above all was the service we received from Sonia the receptionist. She did above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.

The owner was so helpful! We received a wonderful recommendation for dinner and a great breakfast. Terrific spot after visiting the Pavia walkway and 516 Bridge.

Nice house, very calm, friendly staff and a beautiful view over the valley.

The views were lovely although it was raining for the duration of our two night stay. The room was very spacious and being a converted farmhouse, had charm. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful. The traditional sweets from Arouca we were given on check out was a fantastic bonus!

There could have been a hairdryer in the room (although I’m sure if I asked, I would’ve been provided with one).
