Ribeira Collection Hotel by Piamonte Hotels

I liked that the hotel was close to the center of Arcos de Valdevez and allowed for easy access to the shops, restaurants, churches in the village, and attending August¿s Festa. I also enjoyed the breakfast buffet that was included. Friendly staff!

I did not like that parking was not guaranteed. There was some garage and driveway parking, but given the size of the vehicles, parking in the garage was extremely challenging due to several pillars.

Staff were exceptional and very helpful. Location is lovely by the river and walking distance to many things. Room was very clean, updated and spacious. We requested a crib for our baby and they had one ready with clean sheets, pillow, towels and a mini bath robe!

We had dinner in the hotel restaurant and while the service was excellent, the food was just okay. I had a traditional octopus dinner and it was underwhelming. Breakfast was included and was also alright considering it was an included buffet.

Location, staff and the view were all amazing.

Would have slept better on a softer pillow.

Parking and access to parking is terrible. Reception is in an out of the way location. Average every day hotel room. I was there less than 7 hours. I couldn't wait to get out of this place. On the way out of the garage at 5 am I was handed a grocery sack of random packaged snacks and a pear for my breakfast.

We enjoyed everything. The lobby was great. The big porch overlooking the river was a great place to sit and relax. The hallways were decorated nicely. The pool, spa and gym were excellent!

Noisy at night, room make up not until almost 5:00. Pool was smaller than imagined. Bring your own swimming cap so you dont have to buy one.

River setting is pretty but not as nice as photos. Staff were friendly.

Terrible value for the money we paid (price of 4 star hotel for rooms that are like American motel). Lobby and rooms are dated and very basic. Outdoor furnitures on terrace had holes and were worn and no cushions. We stayed in a hotel in Guimarães for less than this place and was 10 times better in terms of interior, service and breakfast. Shower only had lukewarm warm water, the lobby and room had a very strong cheap air freshener scent that made us sick (had to keep window open though it was a super hot day), and although breakfast was decent they did not replenish the buffet enough so drinks and food were always missing. They need to change management.

The location is beautiful and the hotel is very beautiful. The spa is very nice and the room had a great river view

The insulation on the windows was quite weak, letting cold enter during the night as well as the intense river noise.

Location and the view from the balcony are perfect.

The staff was really nice. Location was amazing and our room had a dazzling river view. Breakfast was good.

The pool is small and we were lucky to be able to use it because the hotel wasn't that full. One of the showers was broken.The SPA was a disaster! They only use the place when the clients want a massage. This means that there is no one there otherwise and they prepare it last minute. The rooms were super cold,lacking personality and coziness and the massage tables were frail and old. They were basically a stretcher with a hole for your face.. Really basic tables and i could not relax at all because of my neck position. The ladies massaging were nice though. But it was a waste of money (each was 85 euros!). Avoid. It is all done last minute. The place is also very dark and dingy.Our bedroom was clinical, bare and the bed huge and hard. We left with back aches. The mini bar had nothing in it. There were not enough places to hang towels or clothes.

The staff was very supportive, especially when things weren't going great!

The menu available in the room's tablet wasn't updated. On Mondays, it seems there might be some... issues related to missing human resources. The bathroom sink had mold that you can only see from a specific angle.The room's mini bar wasn't working.

It was open 24/7.The staff were wonderfulThe location was fantasticOur room had a balcony and a huge bed. The breakfast was exceptional generous and quality and quality of food was exceptional.

Room had a non-functional suite pad, although the rest of the room was great.

The hotel is cute and staff is very friendly, everything is clean and well-designed. It was a nice surprise to get a small present for my husband's birthday, it was so lovely.

Not really a big deal, but the hotel is tiny and everything is small, but taking into account awesome location and lack of space around, it's fine. Also, the dinner serving was a bit slow for us, around two hours, but maybe we have to learn how to slow down :).

Modern, tranquil, clean. The room came with a patio where you can chill with drinks and watch the river flow. The town is small and has nothing much to do. Can talk strolls near hotel. We paid for half board and the meals we had were good.
