Lovely family run small hotel with gorgeous pool area and well equipped apartment

Breakfast was ok but could offer more choice - coffee machine was poor Location is a good bike ride from main urban centres on the island

Unflexibility with reservation when a change occured, uninformative check-in and unfriendly reception.

The property take 150 euros deposit ...not refunded as stated at checkout....also told it was only held not taken but it was taken ....no restaurant on site and no recommended ones ...had to drive around to find food .....

The apartment had plenty of room for two people and the mini kitchen was really useful for breakfast, a small snack or very simple meal using the single hob and microwave. The complex was very peaceful and the staff were really friendly and helpful too.

It was all on the one level. Very clean. The apartment was spacious and very well laid out. Very nice pool area. Breakfast was excellent. Would highly recommend the hotel.

On arrival (we were early), thought staff were a bit frosty!! We had walked from bus stop, so we were tired. We were allowed leave our luggage but we felt very unwelcome initially!!! The deposit of 150 euro for breakages was a bit extreme (knew beforehand) and not asked for this in any other hotel. It was refunded on departure but I certainly think its unnecessary. Staff improved in attitude over the two days!!

The setting and layout were lovely, the location was ideal for out 5 night stay.

We arrived on Sunday afternoon, the accomodation is not as it is sold, for self catering, we questioned when we arrived as there was no built in hob in the kitchenette, which would have been OK, if there had been a double portable hob or two singles but there was one single portable hob and a microwave. When I questioned this with the duty supervisor/deputy manager, she was very apologetic and totally understood our predicament and agreed for trying to cook meals it was not suitable, in fact she said it was a common issue customers raised but there was no option available, I was told there were no spare ones when asked what happens if one stops working, she shrugged her shoulders. I asked if the manager/owner was around but they were not in until Tuesday, when asked if they could contact me to discuss the issue as it was not acceptable as the self catering facilities were not fit for purpose, she gave the impression that it would not happen and having also been told that parking outside of the complex was very difficult and limited, I said I would look to use there 'secure car park' for the stay but would be expecting some offset on the fee of €10 per day, she said she would raise this with the owner/manager. We paid the compulsory €150 deposit on arrival to stay. In fairness later that evening an additional single hob arrived after we returned from eating out.

A very expensive hotel which was only at most three star. Welcome tea coffee was one sachet each per guest. No fridge in room and cleaning service was not good. Overall disappointing for the money we paid.

This is a 2 star motel. It is NOT a hotel. Staff were incredibly lazy and very unhelpful. They don’t care about their guests. Hotel area and reception desk closed from 12 until 2pm everyday so you had to move out of the indoor area as they locked up the hotel. We arrived at 11am as we had an early flight with our 3 kids and were told we couldn’t check in until 4pm. When our room was eventually ready, the staff would not even bring our bags to the room for us. We had 6 bags!!! I asked could they help and they said “we do not have enough staff”!!! The room was so basic. The cupboards were all locked and there was no key. We have a 2 year old baby and they charged us €2 twice for some milk for her small milk bottle. The room cost €280 per night. Breakfast was NOT included which is a joke. We had to play an extra €50 for breakfast. We are a family of 5. At breakfast when we asked for more food, they laughed at us as if we were eating too much and it was a hassle for them. At 10:30am while we were still eating our breakfast at the breakfast table, they told us we had to check out immediately as check out was at 10:30am. An absolute rip off! Check in at 4pm and check out at 10:30am! €330 for 20.5 hours. I asked a waiter if he could help order us a taxi and he said “No”. I told him the service in the hotel was very bad and he got aggressive and again refused to help order us a taxi to our next destination where we would be staying for 3 weeks. He would not help. Eventually the manager arranged a taxi. The pool area is nice but I would stay somewhere else. This is our 5th time visiting ile de re. We come for 3 weeks every summer. A new owner with attentive staff could make this place a much better place. I would NOT recommend hotel de re to anyone.

Better fan. Room was like a sauna so difficult to sleep. Paid €1600 deposit to rent 4 bikes for one day!

Quiet and clean hotel, friendly staff.

Breakfast was limited in choice, gets very samen after a few days. Also didn't cater for special dietary requirements, like non dairy milk or gluten free bread.

Short drive to the beach, but we also enjoyed the pool and playground on site. Friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Parking on site costs extra but street parking was free, and we found a spot available. Be aware that a baby crib is also an addition fee as well.

Room adequate and in a nice area for the stay. Ideal for exoploring all the attractions opf the island.Helpful staff and well laid out amenities

The breakfast buffet was lovely, with fresh breads from the local bakery, soft boiled eggs and homemade yogurt. The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the island. We appreciated having bike rental on site.
