Hotel Nuka

Pros +

• Marine the receptionist was lovely and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Location was very good walkable to everywhere you needed to get, and the hotel arranged there. own pick up for me at the airport. Breakfast was decent albeit over the road
• Good and pro-active communication reg airport pick-up - top score in this area. Location was fine / close proximity to the harbour, town centre, shopping facilities etc

Cons -

• The room wasn't big enough too swing a cat. There was no wardrobe, only 2 hangers on the wall and nowhere to put my suitcase. So I couldn't unpack. If I left my opened suitcase on the floor it either blocked the exit, cooker or bathroom. So I couldn't use the small warming plate.
• The room had no wardrobe The night stand with lamp was not close to the bed and could not be reached from the bed - what is the purpose of a night stand? It could not reasonably be moved either as no room for it close to the bed! The room was not cleaned nor even checked whether toilet paper was needed. Seemingly you MUST indicate you want the room to be done up for basics to be checked. This was not communicated on arrival nor was it communicated in the room. Breakfast was passable / basic As per photo there is a fee if you lock yourself out of your room outside of reception hours. This was not communicated on check-in. I once entered via the front door after normal hours and was approached by the guy there indicating this door is not normally for use at that hour.... it may have been meant well, but did not come across that way. Overall the place comes across more as a college room / dorm (kollegie) / single hostel room than a hotel - for which I paid a whopping DKR of 1,400 per night! Never again. Even for pricy Ilulissat this is hefty price tag and not value for money. Attached photo's of room communication reg contacting reception outside of opening hours, the hall (cleaning utensiels left there every night) and the size of the shower, which was more or less on top of the toilet.
