Pros +
- Amazing place to view northern lights!
- Beautiful place to stay. Great staff great food
- Luxury hotel! Amazing location
Cons -
- Suggest more body care products in the room- only has a body wash/shampoo combination instead of shampoo, conditioner, lotion etc. The pool hours are also limited- 11am-8pm
- The breakfast was a bit poor
- They have no ice so you can not make a cocktail in your room or even at the bar. They need a small ice machine at the bar.

Amazing remote location- great staff and very good restaurant

Loved the thermal baths on the property, the breakfast spread each morning was great, rooms were spacious with heated floors, and the restaurant had some of the most delicious food! Also the convenience of the activity center being on the property was great, I booked the ice cave, lava cave, and snowmobile all through their website/activity center and had a wonderful time doing each activity. Lastly, I appreciated the northern lights wake up call, I was lucky enough to see them twice during my stay!
There is a thermal spa on site, they also call you when Aurora lights are well visible. The rooms were pretty chilly but they offer heaters.
The breakfast was a bit poor
Great location in West Iceland , friendly professional staff , excellent food.
The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The drinks and meals were very expensive. The breakfast was delicious.
Fabulous restaurant, great breakfast. Wake up call for the northern lights!
The room was very cozy and the heated floors were great in the bathroom. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The pools were excellent.
Nice staff, comfortable, espresso machine in the room was nice. Nice breakfast. Shower was nice and good hot water.
They have no ice so you can not make a cocktail in your room or even at the bar. They need a small ice machine at the bar.
Fantastic hotel nestled between many hiking trails. Our room was absolutely beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The on site pool was a bonus.
This hotel is a hidden gem !!! So beautiful! Rooms lovely , common areas clean and comfortable. My only complaint was we only stayed 1 night !!!!
Location was good for our activities. Dinner in dining room was nice.
Hotel was noisy after hours…people loud in the halls and slamming doors…hard to get a good nights rest. Pool area is apparently open to all people staying in the area so got a bit busy.
One level property with outstanding breakfast. Comfortable beds and good size room.
Dusty unpaved parking. Room did not have lotion. They do not give receipt for your stay if you did booking on Booking.com. Pool area with sauna and cold bath required people to wash hair before entering it so if you have a wig or any hair problems that you can’t wash your hair, you will not be able to sit in the hot tubs either. That was extremely disappointing. I wasn’t able to use one thing I was really looking forward to. Bathrooms in the pool area had zero privacy. Showers didn’t have separation, it’s one huge room with shower heads attached to the wall. You leave personal belongings wide open for everyone to see on the bench as they do not have locker room or lockers. They do allow small kids in the pool with full diapers ? I wish I knew all this before I did my booking. I probably would not book here.
Fantastic hotel in a stunning location with a restaurant and amenities to match. Take advantage of the seasonal tasting menu if you can. Grab a beer or a glass of wine and head to one of the three soaking pools on site. The location is surrounded by glacier capped peaks, an amazing trout river. And if golf is your thing, there’s a course there too. Had we not been there to fish, we would have certainly played a round. The rooms were clean and super comfortable, great water pressure in the shower, and staff were incredibly warm, welcoming, and helpful. there was even a playground by the Hot Springs and had my toddler been there. I think she would’ve had the time of her life. Would absolutely stay here again, with or without family.
Nothing comes to mind
The hotel is impeccably run, with great staff, services, and facilities. Unique and creative foods to taste at the on-site restaurant. I was also impressed with the available activities in the:area. Perfect for my three day stay there. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful with great views of the glacier, and it was different from the landscape around the golden triangle.
Hotel Husafell met and then exceeded my expectations in every way.
Restaurant, hot baths, cold plunge
Included breakfast
Uncomfortable spring bed. Hot springs were a disappointment.
