Very large rooms in a great location.

It’s clean, well laid out. Right in the center of town. 5 minutes from the Kirkenfoss falls and mtn view. Instructions were clear about use of the space and checking in was easy

We never actually met or spoke to a live person from the property

Super clean room, comfortable bed, good heating system and perfect location! The shared balcony is a plus that was very much appreciated! The view is amazing (you can even see the northern lights from there if you’re lucky!)

The light of the bathroom was automatic (motion sensor) so when we were taking a bath the lights would turn off because the sensor was closer to the door and then the other person would have to come from the room so the light could turn on again. Also the shower space was a bit limited, so if you’re a big person you’ll struggle a little bit.

Amazing location, friendly locals, great (but few) restaurants, unbeatable views, and local cats wandering the neighborhoods at night looking for a scratch. Eva was excellent with communication via email. A perfect 2 night stay. Would stay again 10/10.

It was clean, very comfortable, spacious, & great location. It is on the second floor so you need to be able to walk up a flight of stairs carrying your suitcase. No problem for us fortunately.

the only thing we didn't like is that in the booking said it has a "kitchenette" we expected to cook something like we did in other places with "kitchenette" but in this case the "kitchenette" only included a microwave, a sink and a kettle, so we couldn't cook anything and somehow that modified our plans because we expected do prepare next day lunch and we couldn't

What can i say, the BEST hotel we have been during our Ring road drive/trip. Room was very big, clean, had ALL like ALL possible facilities, the bed was very comfortable, they even had a PC in the "lobby" that anybody can use. When we'll visit Iceland again, only for this hotel we'll drive the road, absolutely fantastic.

NOTHING! Just that we stayed only one night, wanted more

- The view!!!!!- Rooms are spacious and new- Blackout curtains were excellent- Bed was very comfortable- Property owner communicated well

- The shower is on an elevated platform that presents a trip hazard. The flooring is seamless and if you are not careful, you could trip and fall down (especially elderly people should be careful). I would recommend the property owner to see if they mitigate this somehow- The payment integration with booking platform has some quirks. It was only this hotel that had an issue. While you can make payment onsite during business hours, I recommend the property to work with booking.com and make the payment seamless as possibleBoth the items above are only minor issues and is reflected in my score appropriately. Great property and I will stay here again if the opportunity arises. Excellent value.

Well maintained, spacious rooms with ample amenities, great location next to restaurants and minutes away from Kirkjufell in the cute little town of Grundarfjordur.

I booked 8 hotels for my trip to Iceland, this one definitely is the best in all aspects, especially for the price/quality ratio. Check in procedure was easy, instructions are clear. Parking is easy. Unit is roomy and comfortable. Area is nice, good restaurants are in walking distance. Thanks!!!

Absolutely no reasons to complain.

By far the cutest place we stayed at during our one week trip in Iceland. The room was more like a small but spacious apartment as it had the bedroom area, kitchen area and also very big bathroom. In addition it was located next to the main road so no detours were needed plus it had a lovely view to the mountains and the ocean.

Clean place . Even thought it did not have a kitchen it still had plates / spoons etc. Wonderful view of the mountain from the room .

Option for extra pillows / bedding etc since the sofa bed is not comfortable as expected.

Helgrindur guest house was large, clean and well equipped. Check-in was easy and communication with the staff was quick. It's perfectly located on the peninsula close to all the beauty and attractions that we wanted to see. There were restaurants and stores very close by. We'd highly recommend it.

Big spacious newer room with a large bathroom to boot. Great views from the window. It's a small town so it was close to everything.

Self-checkin was a bit confusing at first but fun! It was a large, clean, comfy room with lots of amenities.

I arrived before the email with the check-in info got to me, so I ended up taking the wrong room because I didn't have the info. But it turned out to be fine and the staff was pleasant about it!
