I stayed at Hotel Lival from Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon with my dog after moving to Gdańsk, and honestly it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I liked it so much that even though I now have my own apartment in Gdańsk, I’m already planning to come back for Christmas. There’s something about the place the beach, the atmosphere, the comfort that just clicks for me.I also want to highlight the staff because they made the stay even better! The bartender with dark hair was awesome every time I came down, and the entire front desk team went above and beyond during my stay. I asked for everyone’s names so I could mention them properly, and I hope I caught everyone: Alicja, Magda Z., Natalia, and Justyna. All of them deserve a huge congratulations. Their friendliness, professionalism, and patience made the whole experience feel personal and genuinely welcoming. They went above and beyond to help me. Even coordinating movers, helping translate, and giving insight into the city. I cannot say enough good things and I hope the management gives them the recognition. If I accidentally missed anyone from management or the front office who was working during those days, please know that everyone I interacted with was outstanding. I’m really looking forward to staying with you all again for the holidays.

The wifi was spotty in certain areas of the hotel but not a major inconvenience.

Very good location for the beach and the purpose of my trip. Nice and helpful staff.

There was only one flat pillow on the bed.

We had a suite with a sea view. Lots of space, loved the windows and view. Bed was comfy. Staff was very friendly. 2 minute walk to gorgeous sandy beach! Would stay here again.

The view from the room is stunning. The beach is at your doorstep, there are no big roads nearby so it was very quiet

An amazing location right on the beach close to tram to downtown . The bed was wonderful and listening to the ocean as we drifted off to sleep was so good. Had dinner and breakfast at the hotel. Food was hearty but it was the staff made it a great experience.

Those lovely little balconies mean that your neighbor will be sitting on theirs smoking so the smoke wafts into your room while you are trying to enjoy the ocean breeze. Be very careful on the parking entrance!

Being able to see and hear the sea was wonderful. Access by public transport can take up to two hours and to the city center about 50 minutes. The staff was very helpful.

The bathroom box is extremely small, a large person cannot move in it. The surroundings of the hotel are deserted and dark. As a woman traveling alone, I felt insecure returning from the center at 8 pm.

A very pleasant experience, friendly staff, tasty food at the restaurant. However, there were loud builders outside my windows for the first two days (starting work at 6.30am!) so I couldn't use the balcony in the morning. I'm aware that building work can happen when you stay at hotels during off peak times but it would have been nice to be informed about this in advance.

Location of the hotel is perfect.

They wrote Fix menu price on page, but on place they said that you can chose from menu, but already with different price.

I didn’t like the information that they posted about this hotel. In reality it was not true but they were trying to tell that it was true ) Lunch and dinner prices are not correct which was posted at booking.com. Only information about breakfast was correct.

Listening to the sea when falling asleep in your bed - priceless! :) My room was neat, clean, bed was very comfortable. I had a very good stay.

You can walk to the beach without wearing your slippers, there's a restaurant.

It feels that's it's old, both from the furnishing and design. The shower unit is leaking severely on the floor. The mattresses don't fit the beds and they're curving, besides there's a gap between them in a "double bed" configuration, you can't really sleep comfortably together. No socket near bed. In the "Side Sea view room" you will barely see the sea from a tiny side balcony, somewhere behind the trees - no real view. Finally, the WiFi literally doesn't work in the room, we had 4 devices and any could connect - the administrator in the lobby would only shrug "Oh, but it works on MY phone".

The room was more spacious than we expected and had a good vibe to it (it smelled "nice"). Also the view on the beach directly from the bed was amazing.

As others have pointed out, the hotel is rather old and basically all the equipment was falling apart when examined from up close.

Great location, friendly staff, comfy beds! Ive read previous reviews complaining about old madrases - i cant say about the whole hotel but in our room we had pretty new madrases. We could neither understand the complaints about outdated furnitures)) There are trash can in the room (see previous reviews stating there were not))) All in all - very pleasant stay, and it seems like the hotel management reads reviews and actually takes actions to improve the hotel.

- the bathroom could be much cleaner- the hotel management could consider to add some extra pillows, 1 is ok for sleeping, but much cosier with several when guests wish to read/watch tv...- it would be great to have a possibility to dry wet beach wear somewhere

Everything was its finest. Sea view rooms are the perfect ones but I don't think first floor rooms would be the best one to choose. Top floor, sea view with the balcony compliments everything.

Top floor rooms because of the roof is angular shaped. Sometimes you will hit your head while getting around the bed. ?

The location and cleanliness. Also the staff was very helpful and nice.

Only the location, this place really needs a make over!!!I had one dinner there & it was terrible!!!!The bed was terrible & should have been long gone year ago!!!!

The food, the bed & little attention to detail when cleaning

It is right by the beach and main walk along the beach - very comfortable

Beds are overused and mattresses dirty. The toilet do close to the sink that you have to squeeze between even the the bather is quite big
