The location is picture perfect, literally. It is on the western coast of the island, so if there is a sunset, you would see it. On our days, it was rainy, but that simply brought a different kind of beauty. The beaches were mostly empty - we had them to ourselves. There are several ways to get to the beach below, and all are an easy, short walk. Yet, the hotel is elevated, so you have a lovely view of the coastline. The room was light and airy, and very clean. There is plenty of storage space, and a nice shower with plenty of pressure. The bed was very comfortable, and there were room darkening curtains. The hotel was full when we were there, but it was still quiet. Breakfast is not included, but we found it to be worth the price. There was a lot of variety in the pastries offered, along with cheese, meat, boiled eggs, cereal, and fruit. We would recommend this place, and would stay again.

The staff were excellent. They were cheerful, friendly and extremely helpful.

Good sea views on western side of island, easy access to shore, which is sandy but rocky in water so not suitable for swimming. The pool looked good but weather too wet and cold during our stay so could not use. Good low level arrangement of rooms so everyone had a small balcony space.

Getting to and from the port town was not so easy as expected: too much traffic, large campsites everywhere so difficult to walk comfortably and local restaurants filled up quickly. You really need to like shellfish to eat here, not much diversity and the hotel only offers a basic bar and microwave service, with no eating facilities in our room so options limited.

Lovely spot 10 mins walk from the port, with low level buildings around a nice pool area with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and a boardwalk access to the grounds. Our room overlooked the gardens and tennis courts, and was nice and quiet. We had a split level room with a kitchenette which was great alongside the BBQs on site. Mere steps from the beach and a great spot for watching the sunset.

Kitchen could do with a grater but otherwise well stocked for such a small space.

Fabulous resort, lovely friendly helpful staff that spoke English. Great location facing the sand dunes and beach just a 2 minutes walk, the port is a 10 min walk with many restaurants and shops. Lovely clean accommodation many well equipped rooms with sea view, nice swimming pool and tennis courts, the breakfast was fantastic with a grand selection, dog friendly.

No menu in the evening

The pool was nice but cold! we wished we had booked a room with a view of the sea and the lovely sunsets.

Clean large room but it was the only one left in the website and we booked as an emergency last minute booking

The staff were very welcoming and helpful; quite exceptional and friendly service. The location adjacent to the beach gave us a wonderful view of the tide coming in during the evening. The breakfasts were very generous and the pool was lovely; warm and very clean.

Our room was slightly dark and could have done with some more power points. The window was too large and couldn’t be left open (which may be an issue in hot weather).However, the room was comfortable and the bathroom had been modernised to a high standard.

We love the location and the friendly staff. The hotel had a great pool and we were able to relax after our long cycle ride down to the island. What didn't we like about it and the cycle all the way back?

Although we loved everything about the hotel, the one thing which would have made it even better would have been air conditioning in the room

The room was excellent, clean, comfortable and lovely decor. The pool looked wonderful, but a little too cold for a swim.

Beach on property wasn’t child friendly easy to swim in sea as a lot of rocks only suitable really for paddling if that!Also very busy in August along road to walk into town.

So lovely small property, with nice pool and direct view to the sea (we had such room booked). A bit busy at breakfast, but very good and all staff so friendly

Check in went well with the lady on reception speaking English to help us out.The room was spotlessly clean, bright and spacious and had a wonderful beach/coastal feel to it.Situated on the coast and a minute's walk down to the beach. Would like to have stayed longer!

Limited choice of drinks at the bar/reception and could only purchase wine by the bottle which, as it was late afternoon and we were going out for dinner and only staying for one night, meant there was wastage!

Amazing hotel on the shore of Île d'Oléron! Very nice, cozy and comfy rooms decorated in the ocean style. There is a parking, pool and recreation area on the territory. Very welcoming staff working on the reception.
