Comfort Hotel Orleans Olivet Provinces

The upper room was really nice and the breakfast was very good. The location is very practical, close to main roads, highway and commercial zone. Easy travel to city center or railway station (20 mins by car)

I complained about no light and no air con in room 15 (gr.floor) & was immediately transferred to room 101 which was much more modern and fresh. I was quite annoyed to move and would have wished to be in a renovated available room right at the beginning.

Room was not clean. Paint peeling off the bathroom door. Sheets had been washed but had old stains on them. The floor was dirty and not properly cleaned.

Just don’t do it. Don’t book this hotel!!The location was appalling. It was right in the middle of an industrial zone. There was no mention on Booking . Com when I booked the hotel that it was in the middle of an industrial zone. I had hoped that it was a small village outside of Orleans and that I would be able to have a walk around the area after a 7 hour drive. Clearly I was unable to do that. The buildings were shabby and uncared for. Reception was in a separate building and when I opened the door to reception, a wall of sound hit me. It was so loud I thought I was walking into a disco. No it was the male receptionist who was having his own private disco. Clients were obviously unexpected!! He apologised. He simply should not have been doing that at work.The room was cold when I entered. The windows had been left open and there was no heating on. The receptionist was unhelpful when I asked for the heating to be put on. He told me I could do it myself. There was no offer to help. I turned the heating on and the only thing I could get to work was a tiny electric radiator which took all night to warm the room. On arrival there was also no hot water so I could not even have a shower to warm up. Nor could I have a wash since there was no plug in the wash hand basin. The headboard had two areas of faux leather which were worn out in several places. As I had to pay upfront on booking the room on booking.com, I simply had to lump it, put my dressing gown over my clothes to try to keep warm and resort to a book instead of the hoped for walk. To top things off early the next morning a fire alarm went off. I evacuated only to find out that it was a false alarm. Apparently this was two days in a row that this had happened and they could not find out why.It was the worst hotel experience of my month in France. Save yourself from a bad experience and don’t book this hotel. The reality was simply nothing like the photos shown on booking.com.

I genuinely cannot fault this property, yes the check in is 20m and outside of the accommodation building but the welcome was warm and no fuss checking in.

Quiet, secure parking. Bistro next door. Courtesy tray in the room. Air conditioning.

The bed was extremely comfortable

The lighting throughout the hotel took time to illuminate which was a little disconcerting. Everything looked dingy.
