Navigating the hotel wasn’t easy since they combined two buildings, so there were two elevators.

Sound insulation not sufficient: loud guests in the hallway disturbing sleep. Parking lot with dirt surface, becoming somewhat muddy if it rains.

Location in walking distance from the central bus station, a nice restaurant next door, 10 min ride from the airport.

When I was away, a cleaning lady cleaned the room, even though there was a sign "do not disturb." and threw away without asking carton papers and some other recyclables I was collecting. They were not in a garbage bin. I understand strive to keep everything clean but there should be some limitations to it. Beds were for short people. My feet were hanging out from time to time.

The room was nice, view was on the parking. The most important is that hotel is almost in the old town, no need car or taxi. Grocery store is 1 min walk.

Perfect place to stay for a group of friends. Booked a triple room and a twin.Great location - on the edge of the Old Town so really close to bars and restaurants.

It met all of our expectations.

Breakfast was delicious and convenient. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The location was great, as was the restaurant next door. We had dinner there the first night. It was a leisurely walk to the main sights of Vilnius. The area was clean, and I loved being able to park our rental car there. The people that worked at the front desk were very kind and helpful.

The bathroom was dirty when we arrived, but they cleaned it right away.

This hotel is in a good location for visiting Vilnius, right by the old City Gate. The staff was lovely and welcoming and our suite was nice and spacious. It had a table and chairs outside for relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea. The bed itself was comfortable, although the bottom sheet barely fit over the mattress, which made for some tossing and turning. This seems to be the case in many Baltic and Scandinavian hotels, as if they all moved over to larger beds and then kept the old sheets.

The breakfast could really use improving. The scrambled eggs are overcooked and hard and the bread is mostly of the Wonderbread variety, or those hard rolls with no flavor. There was something that vaguely resembled rye bread, but again, no flavor at all. Not a croissant in site. The cereals were all sugary as were the yogurts. There was one lone pint container of natural yogurt, almost empty by the time we got to it. Thankfully, there were some cheese slices and tomatoes and cucumber aswell, and the cottage cheese was good. All in all, slim pickings though. The bathtub had one of those curtain liners that stick to you when you’re showering, and (my own pet peeve) the grout in the tub was black in spots, and needed a good scrub.

Had a lovely stay at City Gate Hotel! The staff were welcoming, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the location perfect for exploring Vilnius. Thank you for the great hospitality! ?

Excellent location near the Old Town area, the train station, and the bus station.

The hotel was a little difficult to find because Google Maps kept walking me through an indoor market area that was two buildings down from the hotel. Once you're on the sidewalk and see the given address on a building with the indoor market to your right, go to your left and you will see the hotel as a separate building. The hotel is offset from the sidewalk due to a small parking lot in front of it.

Seems like everything made very pound noises, from AC unit, to bathroom light, to the refrigerator. We shut or unplugged everything.
