    • The best part was spending the night on Le Mont St. Michel (though we didn’t explore at night bc the island isn’t necessarily well-lit and the paths and stairs on the island are pretty uneven). The hotel is clean, and the bathroom newly remodeled.
    • Renovated, clean, perfect location
    • The room we were assigned was on the 2nd floor. We were able to see down to the main street. The windows opened for fresh air and you could close the sheers. (I was afraid a pigeon would fly in! lol) The toilet was a seperate room and the bathroom had a shower and tub as well as a sink with nice counter area. The beds and pillows were great and there were extra pillows and blankets in the closet. I came in knowing that the rooms would be small and there would be stairs to climb. If you come with the excitement of staying in an ancient village and overlook the small things you will have an amazing experience.

    Cons -

    • The check in LOCATION and process was terrible. There was no indication on the door of the hotel that they, and other hotels, had consolidated their check in to one location at the entry of the island. We wasted an hour looking for it. No signage!
    • Booked @ Le Mouton Blanc but were assigned a room at Mere Poulard (bc low season??). Breakfast was worst we had in France—and when they say it’s 8-10 they mean “fist come first served.” Pack a small bag w essentials as you’ll be climbing LOTS
    • Front desk very rude and breakfast gal over worked. All by herself.

There is nothing that I didn't like. Reading other reviews I knew exactly what I was getting and was so glad I was able to stay at Mount St. Michele and be there when most of the tourists left and have some elbow room on the streets and the restaurants.

There were no towels!Phone didn’t work. No one on duty to help. Very noisy on street. Worn carpet. But it was clean and breakfast was fabulous!

Good location but unclean in common areas

Going to two locations is a pain

    Good location. Clean and comfy.

There was no staff on the property. This made things difficult. We couldn’t get any help at all.

    10MarshallPosted on: 11-16-2025

The fact that it was on at Mont Michelle.

So many stairs with luggage is tough. Also we had very small carry ons and there was just no room for them in the room. It was tiny.

I love it , so nice and quiet comfortable very relaxing in the very heart of Mont Saint Michel I’ll recommend Le Mouton Blanc the best place to stay and enjoy the beauty of the Castle ♥️Thank you very much for make me feel like home. Fernando From California ?

The room was adequate, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was great. The hotel is on the island about halfway up the main street. Itwas well placed

The staff was managing about 4 hotels. They were pleasant but harried.

Breakfast was absolutely fantastic! Room was adequate.

Could have better explained parking directions. Cost us an extra 50 euros as we didn't put in the correct code. Should be simpler. We almost thought yu made it difficult so we would have to pay extra.

Location. Cleanliness, ease of check in

Expensive than service provided but understandable as the location is special

    7LidiaPosted on: 10-5-2025

The location is right on the Mont Saint Michel. The room is comfortable and clean. It has everything a solo traveler needs: hot water kettle, cups, tea bags, and coffee.

The staff at the reception was a bit disappointing. The treatment was cold and indifferent toward the guests.I didn't feel welcomed.

    4DebbiePosted on: 10-3-2025

    We liked the history.

We liked the mont and the history. The room was too small, too hot, very uncomfortable bed and blankets were way to hot.The stool was so close to the tub we could not sit on it.I would not stay here again.

Great location to enjoy the island once the crazy crowds have left.

Very difficult to locate reception and then find the “annexed” location up the street. Room was teeny tiny - barely room to walk, and no closets, so we had to walk around our suitcases as well. No way to move air in the room, so we had no choice but to leave the window open to the street noise. Morning staff for the Island arrived at the Main Street at 4:30am to get ready for breakfast. We had a terrible nights sleep. We would recommend others to stay off the island and walk or shuttle there early to experience this magnificent place.

perfect location, close to main street see the sunrise sunset through the window. Clean room and clean water, even on an island

No air conditioner or fans, can be a bit hot In day time Reception is a bit difficult to find Room not in the original mouton blanc restaurant

It was a good place to stay for an overnight at Mont St Michel. We had a quad room with four singles and it was comfortable. Rooms are small but the bathroom was updated and we were only staying one night so it was good.

Nothing, the room was clean and the bathroom updated

The property has three rooms and we were able to book them all, so we had a penthouse to ourselves with A/C which is essential in summer in France. The house is historic and has lovely antique details and yet provides modern comforts. The proprietors were very helpful. Clear communication. Good recommendations.

Would be helpful to provide recommendations on when and where to park.
