Hotel Ascania

When I arrived at the hotel reception, the receptionist was busy with a private conversation on her cell phone. After a few minutes, she asked me for my name, whispering, looked it up on the computer, gave me a registration form, a key, and a Wi-Fi code. The private conversation continued. Apparently, that's more important than a hotel guest.The hotel itself is excellent: a spacious room, quiet location, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. There's also an extensive breakfast buffet.

Internet connection. And breakfast cost as compared to variety and quality

Close to the town's center. Large room and bathroom.

No free parking. Some noise from the road (cobble stones).

Old style hotel in a small town. My daughter liked the real key to the room, old style furniture.I liked the location, perfect for travelers with car and for those with public transport like trains. Polite and supportive staff is the USP of the hotel.

The hotel was nice and very clean, and it looks much better in real-life than in the online pictures. There's a charging station for e-cars close by operated by the local municipality.

The Wi-Fi did not work at all, and the water pressure in the showers was very low.

The staff was absolutely polite and kind, we arrived at around midnight and they were waiting for us. The breakfast was outstanding, perfect

The staff is nice, the room is clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious.

On the second day of my stay they didn't leave me mineral water. That's why I lowered his rating.

We chose this hotel when visiting Quedlinbourg as its location is about 20min drive from it and we were happy with this choice. We stayed with our infant, who slept with us and we weren't charged anything extra for him. We were offered a crib free of charge but it wasn't necessary as we had ours. The place was clean and the room very spacious. The bathroom had a nice shower with very good water pressure. The bed was large and very comfortable. We asked for extra pillows and they were delivered directly at our door. In the room there was a kettle, which is always a nice to have. Complimentary water in the room provided at our arrival. Free private parking available on the street right in front of the hotel.

The place was overall quiet, apart from the moment when a group of young guests stopped in front of the hotel and was quite noisy. We had to ask the reception to intervene and they sent them immediately away (it would have been nice though if they had realised it themselves with no need to reach out to them). The pillows were not super-confy so we asked for extra ones and issue was solved. The kettle in the room at first didn't work, then we realised the problem was a socket malfunctioning that we reported the day after.

Room was very clean. Breakfast was super good and worth its price.

The temperature in the room was very low. In October it was just cold inside. The bed had two separate mattresses.

Wifi net very slownoise from hotel guest when they smoke on the hotel entrance.

The place, its location, the price, the friendly staff, insisting not to pay upon check in, the breakfast (though I didn’t have time to eat).

There wasn’t shampoo in the shower (good I had my own shampoo as usual in case), the room had a bad smell (but I left the window open many hours to ventilate) & sadly I found some hairs in the bathroom so it was cleaned previously.

The hotel parking is far away and for every movement you have to get the entrance key and have to return it right away once the car is either in or out

The internet connections was not good in the room, its quality just near the door of the room was acceptable.

Restaurants are in walking distance. Breakfast is excellent.

Breakfast was average German standard.

The receptionist had to search for somewhere in the kitchen.

everything was perfect except internet. All my tripe wifi was so bad, it was impossible open even Google.
