    Pros +

    • The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating — I appreciated the early check-in, having rooms near each other, and the excellent same-day spa experience.
    • The staff were very helpful & pleasant. The room was comfortable & the restaurant was exceptional so a real surprise for us to find that.
    • The personnel were all very nice.

    Cons -

    • Unfortunately, the evening was disappointing. We couldn’t get cocktails in the bar or restaurant due to staff shortages, the white wine arrived warm, and the dinner was far below Hilton standards — both in taste and service. A real contrast to how well the day started.
    • Dead potted trees at the hotel entrance. Main revolving door out of service (all 4 days of my stay). Pungent smell of a dirty toilet that permeated the lobby. The hotel personnel told me that they were unable to eliminate the smell because it 'probably' comes from the storage room owned by the hotel bar (next to the lobby). Since the bar is under a different ownership, nothing can be done (??!).
    • Everything was perfect.

The staff were excellent, and really went above and beyond. On arrival the receptionist, Pauline, carefully explained everything and accompanied us to our room. The room was spacious, the shower had great water pressure and lots of hot water, the mirror didn't steam up either. The bed and bedding were excellent. The breakfast was also excellent, with hot options (sausages, streaky bacon, hash browns, baked beans, mushrooms and scrambled eggs - for a small supplement you could have fried eggs), you could also boil your own eggs, there were also pancakes, croissants, fresh fruits, and a good selection of hams and cheeses along with nuts and dried fruits. Several types of fruit juices and a wide variety of coffee and tea.The spa facilities were also very good, spotlessly clean. Hamman, Sauna and large jacuzzi.Parking in the outside hotel car park is free, and for a supplement you can park in the underground parking. The hotel is about 1 minute 30 walk from the Tram station (T2) so it was easy to get into the centre of Lyon without taking the car.

    Everything was perfect.

Hotel was ok clean staff was friendly

There was a bad odour in the lobby area which I didn’t bother too much about however the smell was stronger in our rooms which was annoying also the bathroom door lock was not working properly Rest was not bad

    Breakfast and facilities were excellent!

The location is a bit far from Lyon center, but if you are by foot there is a very new and clean tram line what goes city center.

    10EdgarPosted on: 8-4-2025

This is a very nice and comfortable hotel. It's not located in the center of the city but you can easily get there on a taxi or a tram. The tram station was very close to the hotel. The staff was very friendly and we did have a very nice stay.

Not a bad hotel, but not amazing to get to as the drivers in Lyon are awful! Comfy bed and a good stop on the way to our destination of the south of france.

Felt like we were a little out of place or not their usual clientele. Wasn't made very welcome so it all felt a little off. Lyon feels a little unsafe too so we weren't all that confident in our choice of hotel. Breakfast wasn't up to scratch either. The scrambled eggs looked like porridge and we had better breakfasts at much cheaper hotels. It felt a little pretentious.

Overall, it was a stressful and disappointing experience. The room was not properly cleaned — the shower had visible traces of mold, and the TV remote was dirty and encrusted, which raised serious concerns about hygiene standards. To make matters worse, the restaurant and bar manager was unexpectedly aggressive, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Unfortunately, I was unable to enjoy any part of my visit due to these issues.

We arrived at the hotel and were warmly welcomed by the front desk staff, who were polite and highly professional — exactly what you would expect from a Hilton property. However, our experience quickly deteriorated when we approached the restaurant reception to view the menu, as we had been advised to book in advance. The staff member who greeted us (a shorter woman with black hair, possibly named Anissa — her name tag was barely visible) looked at us with disdain, almost as if she held some sort of prejudice. She handed us only one menu, despite us being two people, and behaved with a visible lack of courtesy. It left us wondering — was it because I was wearing motorcycle gear? Or simply because I’m Italian?Later that evening, I went to the bar around 9:50 PM to order a drink. Once again, the same staff member told us the bar was closed. When I politely pointed out that the sign in the lobby stated the bar closes at midnight, she responded rudely and flatly refused to serve us.Strangely enough, just five minutes later, a couple arrived — one of them seemed like a regular guest — and the same staff member quickly got up to greet them warmly and served them drinks without hesitation.Once seated at the bar, my friend and I also learned from another couple at the next table that they had experienced the same kind of treatment, confirming that our case wasn’t isolated.Fortunately, another staff member arrived shortly after and, with kindness and professionalism, offered us a drink as a courtesy before closing the bar — the only redeeming moment in an otherwise disappointing experience.I want to stress that most of the hotel staff were professional and respectful, but the conduct of this particular employee left us feeling discriminated against and unwelcome — something that should never happen in a hotel that carries the Hilton name.

comfy bed, nice staff, felt safe and secure, breakfast good.

Sadly the smell of sewage was pretty poor. Also, expected the spa to have a pool.

An excellent breakfast paired with exceptionally welcoming and attentive staff. The bed was very comfortable with a wonderful view. The reception was very helpful and professional.

The gym was too small and limited

Comfortable room, large bed. Very impressed with the food in the restaurant.

I think the price for underground parking could have been better communicated.

    Staff was polite

Rooms were dirty with nails and hair on the carpet everywhere, out car got vandalised outside of the hotel as well as other csrs that night so not a secure location either.

The food was a really pleasant surprise - normally in chains the food is average. But this hotel was an exception - we were really impressed with the food. And a special recognition to one employee who helped us when our car was broken into.

My car was in the car park and was broken into - driver window smashed and the person climbed in my car and ransacked the inside - accessing the trunk from inside. Two other cars were also broken into that night. I interrupted the person whilst they were searching inside my car so was quite shaken. I went to reception to tell them what happened and they as horrified at the total lack of help and lack of empathy from the person behind the desk. All they did was ask if the car was in the property when it happened or on outside the property, when I answered the car was in their car park (which is gated and surrounded by a fence) then they gave me a glass of cloudy water from a communal jug. They said nothing else!I had to ask for help to call the police (which she had to get a colleague to do as she didn’t know the number (!?)) then she printed a Google Map and told me to drive to the police station but not to touch the car too much so they can do tests (fingerprints etc). I had to point out I couldn’t access my car because there was glass everywhere including all over the driver seat. She then advised me to take the train to the police station (in the pitch dark, very early morning). She then gave me her managers business card and told me to phone her manager because they might know more about what to do. She didn’t even call the manager herself! Considering the incident happened on hotel property, I’d really have expected more accountability - proactively phoning the police, organising (and paying for) a taxi to the police station, offering us a place to sit whilst we made calls to insurance etc. Instead, the women who helped originally was just useless and with zero empathy. It made the whole experience worse! It wasn’t until someone started their shift later in the morning when we actually got any help (thank goodness for this person, they were wonderful and helped me create a temporary makeshift protection for the gap where my window had been).

The food was terrible. The restaurant staff very rude. The fish was totally uncooked. The way the staff reacted on this was at a level of rudeness I never saw once before. I went 3 days for dinner. 2 times the food was terrible. Shamefully. 1 night I was ill and contaminated by the food.
