    Pros +

    • Wonderful old hotel. Furniture a bit tired but it doesn't spoil the impression. Wonderful old town with friendly people.
    • Historical and Traditional hotel. Lovely restaurant and staff were great.
    • When I initially booked I asked about motorcycle parking and was assured it was not a problem, this proved to be correct as there are motorcycle parking bays next to the hotel, in fact our room overlooked them.Friendly welcome and the owner was very patient with my very poor French. Staff in the pizzeria speak good english as do some reception staff.Excellent steaks to be had here. Breakfast on the terrace made for a very pleasant and relaxing stay.

    Cons -

    • The bed and pillows! Very hard and uncomfortable bed with hard and lumpy pillows! The shower needs to be renovated. Very old with some mould.
    • Nothing at all.
    • Hard beds and small hard pillows. No AC and just a loud floor fan.Too hot for just a fan, and the noise from the passing road outside made it hard to sleep (and the bed). Needed to have that window opened due to the heat. Didn't get rest enough. Was really tired the day after. The breakfast was way overpriced for what you got! Some bread, butter and 2 jams to choose from and ham and one kind of cheese...not worth eating one the hotel. Could've spent my money somewhere else. My tip: eggs, pain chocolate, bacon, fruit and more to choose from.

Overall, we were quite satisfied with our stay. The hotel's furnishings were old, but that didn't bother us at all because we had everything we needed. The room was clean and comfortable. We had clean towels, small soaps, and shampoos available, which was very convenient. The room was equipped with a quiet air conditioner, which is really important in the summer heat.

the walls were thin, and we could hear people from other rooms as well as cars passing by on the road.

Staff was very kind and professional Room had been renovated recently Restaurant is very good

Breakfast was ok, but didn't offer much choice

This is a very quaint regional hotel. The bed was huge, the water pressure was strong and once I got WiFi it was stable

There are a few things today that I have come to expect in any hotel. Especially when it is costing over £100.So to find no way to make a hot drink in my room quite lacking.

    Location and history

Our first room had black mold in window and shower. We moved to second room and it was better but overall the hotel was not clean. Carpet dirty, an inch of dust on tops of things. A glass of wine sitting in the hallway. I couldn’t get past the overall lack of attention to cleaning detail.

Such a great place, such a great grandma.

The building is old so sometimes it is quite noisy.Reception should change the way they work, everything was written on paper, therefore we had to argue a bit to get the room that we booked. I would say that they gave us bad rooms intentionally, but because of the lack of e devices it was complicated.

    Checking out.

The room was terribly small with truly negligible space around the bed. Each of us had to wait on the bed while the other one was moving in the room - no space for us, let alone the luggage (we left most of it in the car). Same story for the bathroom. Peeling paint, cheap furniture, no main light in the room but just crippled table lamps. Breakfast totally under average.

Authentic charm with family business vibe. Big and comfortable beds, friendly staff and very generous breakfast.

Back then Napoleon passed through on a horse, nowadays expect motorized transport of fellow tourists to be be heard from your room.

Very convenient location for access to Grasse

No air con, beds too short, room felt oppressive and unfortunately noise outside on the road but also inside the hotel on the floor above with intermittent heavy pounding for no apparent reason.

    10BegoñaPosted on: 8-7-2023

The lady at the reception was very nice. The views from the rooms. Everything was clean.

they are old rooms, but ok. Even that it is 10 min from Grasse, the road was not fantastic. But it also had its charme. I didn't know this before booking. But we enjoyed our stay there.

Extremely pricey for what it offers

Even if it was the cheapest for the period and the general area where we were traveling, it was extremely expensive for what it offers. For example, we paid 52 euros at their pizzeria for 2 almost average sized pizza's 2 0.75L sparkling water bottles and a piece of cake for desert. I will let that sink in: 52 euros!?!? The breakfast was poor and whatever you do please don't take coffee from them. You are better off buying coffee from somewhere else. Not to forget to say that on the evening we arrived we wanted to have a pizza from their pizzeria and wanted to sit on the trrace, but since there was no place there, we wanted to sit at a table where the window was open, so not to sit inside the pizzeria where it was hot. We were told by the hotel/pizzeria staff that we can't sit at that table because we were only 2 people and that table had 4 sitting places. This is not how you treat your guests/customers. Lastly, I also this the hotel needs to do a renovation, at least for the room we stayed in.

it was a lovely old hotel with character and the food was good

the room was a little tired and had seen better days

Breakfast fast ok, the staff in the evening when I arrived was very nice and service minded.

The bed was hard. Tha staff during breakfast did not treat me well. I had payed for my breakfast in the evening but the woman refused to believe me and brought up several times. They did not speak any other languages than French which also made the situation with the payment uncomfortable. I will not visit again and it is a pity with a nice place with staff that doesn’t take the customer seriously

The location was convinient and it no noise from outside

The beds are not comfortable and squeaky. Every single move , the bed squeaks so annoying, wakes you up.
